DIY Canopy for AhSupply kit (10g)

^^ lol cant do. its a 4hr class covering 1 week of a regular semester. So i would be missing plenty.
I just fiddled with it and it doesnt seem like 2 much work, just need to cut wires to size, and wire everything up. Will do it tonight for sure. Though I still didnt paint the outside black... Maybe will do that tomorrow.

A note to all canopy builders...
I STRONGLY suggest using a full glass canopy between the water and the lights...
Mine did not have one, and the lights heated the water to the point of evaporation.. thus condensing on the inside of my canopy... now there is a buncha funky fuzzy moldy lookin stuff in there.. so I am in the process of retrofitting the lights, and a glass divider..

Thanks for the heads up Zig. I actually thought of using the glass as well since i am already getting great 1" evaporation for the week with the open top.
I had the canopy on my 29g and it was without glass for a good month or so, though it did get somewhat moist inside during the winter with the temperature changes at night, but i never had any funky fuzzy mold growing.

VII - Wiring
So today decided to finish the project (partially) and did the wiring.
Cut the endcap wire to size (normally its a few feet long) and strip the wires.
Next cut the Ballast wires to size and once again strip them..
Follow the directions provided by ahsupply to wire up the:
power cord >>ballast >> endcap
And this is what you should have.. (dont have to be as messy i guess)
And we are done..Place over the tank and enjoy
Dont have anymore photos at the moment.. Battery in the camera died
Future plans:
1- Still have to paint the outside of the fixture black... Dont have time right now so leave it as is..
2- Get some glass cut for the glass canopy.
3- See how the 18w bulb goes with plants and maybe upgrade it to either 24w or 36w bulb..
