Well, I used to have one silver goldfish, named it Lucky and I was surprised it lived so such a long time in my giant relish glass jar with pebbles(nitro bac/somas buildup) and until the day I felt that inside me that it was necessary for him to be in a big tank...Unknowingly about his carp bio, I... placed him in a 20 gallon with...freshwater and with some silver dollars....Without the fish knowledge, I didn't know I made a terrible, terrible mistake because goldfish are coldwater fish and SD's are tropicalwater fish. Luckily he actually survived sometime! But I suddenly had a bad feeling while I was away, I thought he will be nipped by my SD's, but knowing the SD's were peaceful and I knew they wouldn't do harm to lucky; so I was correct, he didn't get hurt/attacked. He survived the temp for a few weeks and he died unexpectingly, because I didn't know anything about the water chemistry, fish's natural temperature and all that. From that day, it's just been fishes with no name.....unless I get one silver goldfish someday, I might as well name him/her Lucky. Going for a pond in the future.
