Do you name your fish?

i did when we first got some

now that there are 7 danios... not really

the bigger of the old danios was danio day lewis, the smaller, danio son, the runt, stewie.

chomsky was the blue dwarf gourami, he is dead now.

kisser is named lipps.

opaline gourami is bluestar.

I don't name my fish, but I do have a nickname for my 8'' Tiger Oscar. He's big and chunky so sometimes I call him "Big Face" :P Like I'll walk by, he'll dash up to the front of the tank and start wiggling and begging for food so I will say "Oh, Big Face is hungrah!"

I did end up naming my centerpiece fish - a pearl gourami named Gulliver, Gully for short. It seems quite fitting. Everyone else, though, is nameless.

I don't name all of my fish. Only a few of them. I've only named my male betta: Frankie and my black moor goldfish: Jet. All the other fish I have, are nameless. lol. So I guess I only name my favorite fish lol. I know in my sig it say the other betta is named Pretty Boy. Technically he isn't mine lol. He's my mom's betta, I just clean his tank.

I only name fishes that I can tell are different from one another. (Like a misaligned stripe, the pattern on a certain fish is different, or if I only have one of its species in the same tank.)

well my tank is the island, my pleco is hurley, i jst added 2 rams that are jin and sun, and i also that 6 angels fish that are jack, kate, sawyer, john locke, hurley and said LOL!

My Convict: George A.K.A. Dumb A**, Stupid, *******, Crazy
He was named George by my mother in law, when he was a fry, and the rest of the names, by me when he attacks my hand while I'm cleaning the tank

My snail: Speedy.

Well, I name the ones that stand out. I have 2 bettas - Bela and Aloysius. My pearl gouramies are named Douglas, Henry, Lawrence, Chloe and Chiara. I have a school of diamond tetras - the largest male is HUGE - his name is Bruiser. I also have schools of rasboras and rummynose tetras that I just refer to as the "gang." And the otos and cories are still nameless along with the shrimp and snails.
