Earthquake

im so glad i dont do 'quakes anymore.. i'll stick with my blizzards and new england road rage drivers ;) much more my style.

I agree completely. People in Pittsburgh don't drive as crazy as New Englanders though...

I haven't felt and earthquake before, must be kind of scary. I also never though about the danger of having fish tanks with them!

That's a relief!

Well, I left work at 14:00 expecting to come home to some sort of disaster: a toppled tank; leaking from a split seam; the filter cracked against the wall; a shattered glass lid and an electric light in the water; even just a spill of water from the shaking.

But, nothing. Not even a drop spilled. Zip, zero, nada. All was as it should be. :headbang2:

Whew! :thud:

(Makes me glad I put that light fixture on snug-fitting legs, however.)

Still not home yet to check my tanks. Im keeping my fingers crossed. They are all on solid stands so Im not overly worried.

My thing is I hope they didnt spill water on any electronics.

i have tanks facing different ways the water i lost the most in was the ones facing chino. they were just filled and they were close to the stop to start with too.

Are they on a North-South or East-West axis? Chino's SE of you, right?
