empty 30 gal wanting to put corys or loaches help me Lupin

just leave the pH alone and the fish will be fine. a stable pH is much more important than one that fluctuated down to the desired level and then back up again.

loaches- kuhlis or yo-yo's

corydoras- pretty much any kind except for giant. emerald green "corydoras" will not fit in their either, but then again they are not corydoras; they are bronchis.

do you think a pearl gourami, 10 neons and 3 kuhlis work?

how do i test tds...and my ph is like 7.8 and i want 6.8 or so

don't worry about testing it

that pH should be fine...I keep blue rams in a higher pH than that and they are fine.

Get 6 or 8 kuhlis, they need lots of friends & hiding places. Or 6 corys. Yoyos get too big for a 30g, up to 6 inches. Is it a 3ft tank or a 29g, 30 inch tank? Longer would be good for the pearl, beautiful fish!

wouldnt that be overstocked? 7 kuhlis 1 pearl and 10 neons?

bump awnser my question anybody please lol and they would be fine with like 7.8 to like 8 ph?

1st question: That's fine. Just keep up your weekly water changes.

2nd question: Sounds a little high, shoot for 7-7.5

An easy way to drop the ph is to add natural driftwood and let the tannins leach out from it. Also, provide plenty of hiding places for the Kuhlis, the more the better.

You could go with a group of Kuhli loaches. I believe any of the Pangio family would love a 30 gal.
Yes, any of them would.

Fishorama is correct. Yoyos do grow to 6 inches and need plenty of space as well.

Nope. Less bioload. I'd add 5 more neons.;)

I'd keep it from soaring above 8. If acclimated well, they will be fine although they are best kept at low pH preferably 6.8-7.0.
