are endlers a type of guppy? they look alot like a guppy to me.
There has been some debate about whether Endlers are a separate species from common guppies (Poecilia reticulata) or just regional variation. Consensus seems to be that they are a separate species (Poecilia wingei---see http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/pfk/pages/item.php?news=889), but they are quite closely related and will readily hybridize with common guppies. These are somewhat rare in the wild and in the aquarium trade, so it's important to maintain the pure Endler lines that we have left and not let them hybridize.
Yes, I've seen that site and a few of their listings on Aquabid. I may have to contact them about some peacocks, but I thought I'd try here first. Thanks!
