Can't believe someone else listen's to Mother Love Bone! Do you listen to green river, screaming trees, mudhoney and alice in chains (Fav. band) too?

Can't leave out the Melvins and Primus either (even though they aren't grunge..but close enough :D

Yes I use to have some Green River, but no longer have a Record player or Records :) Alice in Chains I listen to at times as welll with Screaming tree's.. not much of Mudhoney though.. just never bought any of the albums .. and get zero Radio reception so near airport so nothing of radio play at all of anything.

Lately been listening to alot of Otis Redding and Doobie Brothers.. so my taste vary greatly.. this is just what i've been in the mood for.

Anything but rap!...I don't even consider rap an artform.

But mostly,The Who,The Rolling Stones,Led Zeppelin,Cream,Deep Purple,Iron,Butterfly,Sabbath (With Ozzy),James Brown,Bowie,Butthole surfers,Frank Zappa,Queens Of The Stoneage,Hendrix,Steppinwolf,The Pixies,Janes Addiction,Porno For Pyros,BTO,The Chambers Brothers,Van Halen (With David Lee roth),The Animals,King Crimson,Bob Marley,Bad Company,Lords Of Acid,Robin Trower,Judas Priest,Pink Floyd,P,Bauhaus,Iggy pop,Pantera,Iron Maiden,The Motor City Burgers,Alice Cooper,Sex Pistols,Helios Creed,Ten Years After,Rare Earth,....Just to name a few,but you get the jist of it.

personaly i like a little bit of everything, rock being the best though. Greenday are by far the best group i've ever heard and i can't belive nobody else has mentioned them!

My tastes run the entire spectrum but are heavily weighted with jam-improvisation and experimental oriented music.

Discs you would most likely find in my CD player at any given time are by bands like Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Phish, Medeski Martin and Wood, and Frank Zappa.

I'm also starting to appreciate some classical music and I've been getting into a lot of jazz.

Anything too "poppy" or simplistic tends to bore me. It seems that most of what we hear on the radio today is just mass produced crap designed to sound exactly like the song before it. I tend to appreciate musicians who don't fit neatly into any one genre of music. I'll give anything a fair listen if it's done with integrity and if the artists try to stretch the boundaries of music.

Lets see.... currently in my CD changer:
-Queensryche: Operation Mindcrime
-Creed: My Own Prison
-Supertramp Retrospectable (2 CDs)
-Rush: Chronicle
-Scorpions: In Trance
-Jude: No One is Really Beautiful
...and Linkin Park: Meteora is on standby

Otherwise: Skindred, Papa Roach, Trust Company, Disturbed, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, NWA, Easy E, and Elvis Christmas

Hey, Another Medeski Martin n Woode fan!! Cool . .. Saw them live three times. Second time I saw them, we ended up right in the front. Leaning on the stage. I went with a few guys.... We smoked some of the happy stuff, but halfway through the show, I couldn't handle it. The way those guys play is so freaky!! their timing, their style, is so intelligent, that in the frame of mind I was in, it just made me want to figure out the "formula" too much, to the point that I started badtripping. I ended up leaving the front, going outside, and sat down on a bench for the rest of the concert. It was too much for me!!!

But they're freaken great!!!

As for greenday, yeah, they rock.. Saw them live twice, they really know how to get the crowd going!!!

I know what you mean Cheech.............sometimes when I'm at a show and the improv gets very heavy............very out there...........I'm left feeling like somebody wrung out my brain like a twisted dish rag. There are times when it's too much but then there are times when it's like an epiphany.

............Green Day............ummmmmm...........I saw them at a small club in PA just after they started getting air play. I was in the front row and they raged..........but the show was ruined for me once Billy Bob or Billy Jo or whatever his name is pulled his noodle out of his pants and "waved" at the crowd. I've had a hard time listening to them ever since.............
