Finally got that salt tank...

Looks worse today. Took my water to the lfs and he ran tests, said all params are within safe range and my water is not the issue. Didn't get exact numbers but I trust them when they say it's ok.

Leathers can be pouty sometimes. I have never kept one but have talked and read about those that have and its fairly common to hear that they can remain defalted for days or even weeks. It is entirely possible that its in one of those stages and that typically leads to the coral shedding an outer layer (which you should remove BTW).

The other thing I see in the pic is that shroom laying on it which may be irritating it. Softy on softy shouldn't be too much of an issue bit if there is an easy way to move the rock the shroom is on I would.

How is the flow in the area the leather is in? They like a decent amount.

The mushroom has been there over a month with no problems, but it's possible as the mushroom is smaller too. They are on the same rock so idk how to move one or the other.

It is in a good flow area, but not enough that it's blowing over.

How would I go about removing the shedding skin?

Turkey baster should work to suck it up.

Went home an checked on it and it now has strange deep purple tumors.

And a zoomed in version. It's the dark spot in the middle.

Might be the shedding skin with new arms under it? Or maybe some type or nudi? Idk :/

That looks like a sponge. Is there a vent? Are they mobile?

They are fleshy, and seem to be coming out of the leather. I haven't witnessed them move, but they weren't there yesterday so I can't be sure. I didn't see a vent or anything, they seemed solid. I'll watch again when I get home from work at 9.

Well they didn't move :\
