Finally re-starting my 72g bowfront!

Put the tank in the fridge. Theres no need for converting anything! Thats way you can look at the fish when you go to get your beers :)

If you're drinking beer at tank temperature, you're a sick sick man!

but it would be a way to curb overstocking and MTS.:)

No, no, no, no. You got it all wrong, Doug. Keep the tank in the fridge, and then run a heater in the tank. Voila, 70 degree (or whatever) tank without buying a chiller.

Oh, and the beer will be beer temp, to boot!

Problem solved ! All you need is a T.V, the sports channel, and a couch and you will have a MAN CAVE!!!

That wasn't an Englishmen and warm beer joke was it?? ;)

Warm beer is relative. What a lot of people fail to remember is that typical room temperature in England is a bit lower than it is here, especially in Arizona. I mean, average summer temp is 60 Fahrenheit. In Phoenix, we get way to close to that in Celsius during the summer. So, say 40 during winter, and that's pretty close to perfect beer temp of 32, in my opinion.

You update a tank you get nothing but mention beer and everyone comes running! lol

So I am not seeing quite what I would like to see as far as growth rates yet. I turned the co2 up a little for longer today and we will see how it goes. Which puts me around 1-2 bps on 1.5hrs before lights on and off 1 hr before lights go off. Health of the new growth seems good though.

Test before lights on or dosing today...

pH - 6.4
KH - 1-2
GH - 1-2
Phosphates - between 2 and 5
Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - 0
Nitrates - 10

Forgot about TDS so that is after adding ferts.
TDS - 172

So I think the dosing regime is pretty good so far (PPS-Pro). I have a TON of star grass to go through, lots of algae (but free) and will post pictures after I plant it.

somebody mentioned beer???

I look forward to the pictures... maybe they'll inspire me to clean up my tanks a little for sharing.
