well its been a week or so and this skimmer isn't skimming right still. i'm sure it's because it needs to be higher in the water. the collection cup just fills with water and these microbubbles won't subside. i turned it off until i figure out what to do about it. although, i don't exactly understand the things so it's rather low priority. it was just $30 so i figured i'd give it a go.
i lost a post i tried to make from work. i decided against ever owning an anenome due to an article i read online. basically the fish in the sea need them more than my pet. plus it's a young tank raised ocellaris and probably wouldn't happen anyway.
so the first corals slated for addition, as soon as money permits, are: zoos, xenia, and finger leather coral. how's that for a start?
btw, for the first time in awhile i saw pods on the glass again. they've been MIA for quite some time, due to skimmer, and my previous experiments with aggressive water flow.
i'm one broke guy lately. my birthday, and my daughters birthday, and title/register/taxes on my car. so i had only $20 to spend on a coral. they didn't have xenia. i got golden polyps. here's the store picture, will post my own tomorrow after work. my scarlet cleaner shrimp looks interested in them. i hear they're rather tasty and are the first to get nibbled on by anything interested in eating coral.
also, added 2 scarlet hermits. total hermits 5, and 4 snails. think i'm stocked OK for 12gal nano-reef?
