Fish Skull found on Mars

oh, i don't think it's anything more than a rock.. it's just that the immediate attitude was, instead of, "that doesnt look like a fish skull", it was of the "no way, there is no such thing as life outside earth" persuasion. that's all. ;)

I know...it's just fun to debate sometimes. :grinyes:

all of you people are so conclusive... you have about as much proof that it ISNT a rock as you do that it IS.

the way people think nothing else ever exists out there, you'd think this was the 50's, when life outside of earth couldnt POSSIBLY be true..

open your minds. not saying THAT is, but everyone's talking like theyve been there and looked around for themselves.

There would hardly be anyone as excited as me if there was hard evidence of life above the microscopic level discovered on Mars or any other planet anywhere. I'm a man of science... a skeptic to the core and I need proof of life, hard evidence, before I'm amazed. A blurry picture doesn't even come close.

For all we know life on Mars looks like rocks. Evidence could be laying all over the place. But until we have proof then why get even a little excited?

Has anyone even looked to see if the picture is legitimate?

The only thing I can conclude is that there is no evidence of life on Mars... Yet!

Q

I do believe that there's life somewhere other than the Earth. What I meant was that the picture doesn't really say anything. The information it gives out is limited. Not enough to say it was a skull... not enough to say it was a rock.. and maybe not enough to say that it was really a shot of Mars :grinyes: jk

Its no skull, there are hundreds of rocks that if you go and look on other planets with shadows cast that will resemble heads, skulls, pyramids, and all that other crazy stuff. I do believe that other life can exist out there, the universe is bigger then I can comprehened. However, most people fail to recognize this life will probably not resemble anything we've seen, and it can also be microscopic or not. Who knows, chemistry is the limit.

OK- here it is, and a quote on it:

"A close-up enlargement of this fascinating object (above – bottom), reveals an apparently "snapped off" body geometry, at least five visible cylindrical "segments," and a hint of other fossil-like features buried in the surrounding rock itself – all classic hallmarks of a former living organism!

So, what did the JPL Rover science Team do with this potentially explosive scientific find …?

They promptly ground it into powder … right before our eyes (PanCAm color image, below)!

And here is what it looks like after NASA 'destroyed it':

Please read more on this, it will make you wonder... Unless your mind is made up that nothing could have lived there a very long time ago.

Joe, it is clear to me that that is a segment of a martian roof, the imbrications indicate shingles. NASA just wanted to figure out what color roofs martians liked... this one obviously preferred a rusty brown colour.

"Our intention was to find evidence of present or past life or evidence of a past civilization as we have theorized."
Science is objective and is unbiased.

That picture is obviously of an injured butt.

PS how many skulls are in this picture?

I don't really see anything skeletal there. It looks too... I don't know. It doesn't have enough shape to it. It doesn't seem like it would function in a living animal. Are you suggesting they destroyed it to destroy evidence?

As for the government hiding/denying/destroying UFO/other conspiracy evidence... I mean just because they do it doesn't mean it's real/they think its real. They could just be doing it because they knew if it got out, without enough knowledge, a bunch of ******** would freak out.
