Fish Skull found on Mars

Don't know much about this, but I know it took some very specific things to allow, and then create, life on earth.

I do believe there is most likely life somewhere out there, elsewhere, in the universe. So many galaxies and solar systems... circumstances must be appropriate on one of them somewhere to have propogated life. But the chances of developing life are very small I believe, and most likely did not occur in any given solar system. WE have one planet for sure in ours that has life... 1 out of 9 (8? no pluto?) planets. That's already probably wayyyy disproportionate to the chances.

Do I believe there is life out there? Yes. Do I believe it is intelligent? Probably, somewhere, you have alien animals of some sort. Do I believe it is as mentally advanced, or moreso, than we are? Probably not. And I am pretty dang sure if they are, they don't know about us. We may very well never find life anywhere out there.

You need to look at the BIG picture a little bit more ? BILLIONS OF GALAXIES with BILLIONS of stars ? Must be billions of planets of which must be a couple with more intelligent life than ours ? The universe has been around for BILLIONS of years and how long has modern man been around ?
Just a few things to think a little more about.

I know, it's possible.

Even so, I doubt any contact will ever be established. I think mankind is kind of at its peak right now, and it's only really downhill from here. At best, our pollution and environmental damage catches up to us eventually.

isnt that from a movie?

Yeah, there are about 400 billion stars in our galaxy. There are more galaxies in the universe than there are stars in our galaxy. If only one billionth of a percent of stars had planets with life, there would still be billions of planets with life.

Could they get to us? Not with any known physics at this time.

Mars has an atmosphere. It's mostly CO2 and it's very thin. On the other hand, some of the sandstorms on Mars are larger than the continental US and winds can reach speeds of 300+ mph. Daily temperatures can ranges from -27F to 100+.

More and more research is showing that liquid water has existed in Mars' past, maybe even the recent past. However, even if Mars had life at one point in the past, the chances of it looking anything like Earth life is slim to none. The chances of a fossil fish being found on Mars are as close to zero as you can get without being zero. [I'll give that hundredth of a percentage point to the Panspermia believers.]

yeah I wonder how life would evolve on other planets. Would it have bones? eyes?

:omg:Just look at all the different life forms here on Earth

well I mean would it be remotely like life on earth?

funny, i thought the only thing that was left of a shark was the jaws, the rest was soft tissue, cartalige?
but it could be an martians pet dogasaurous.
