Fish Skull found on Mars

oh no, not again.....

another thread on discussing how smart or dumb people are and trying to prove if aliens do or don't exist elsewhere in the universe based on religion etc....

it was fun the first few times but then the debate never ends and they keep getting closed.

still, an interesting find you have there, i hope we find more martian fossils!

once i found a rock with a smiley face on it... maybe it really WAS a face!!:eek3:

not...

hehe:)

I don't really see anything skeletal there. It looks too... I don't know. It doesn't have enough shape to it. It doesn't seem like it would function in a living animal. ....
I'll try to explain.. Take this real fossil from Wyoming. You can't really tell what kind of creature it may have been. It does look a lot like a rock. If you blur the photo slightly, it might look a lot like rohnds photo at the beginning of this thread.

Here's another good example:

From a distance, and slightly out of focus - it's just a rock.

What the Mars rover ground to dust clearly showed a "segmented feature" that could well have been alive millions or billions of years ago. Common rocks don't show the kind of segments the Mars photo shows.

Anyway, that's the end of my Fossil 101 class. I grade on the 'curve', so everyone passes. :D
