I just had to rant.
I was out walking and saw this man I can't stand hold his lab and get it excited before letting it go to attack a small loose dog, I yelled at the guy and he put his dog back in the house, laughing his butt off.
I saw this little guy about 3 weeks ago, then he was fat and happy with nice fur, I couldn't catch him then because it was about 12 am and he didn't want to be caught. Now he's a bag of bones, his back is missing hair, his ears have been chewed on so much by flies they are bald and scabbed, and he has the injuries from the dog attacking him.
I was able to catch him very easily this time, because I guess he was just too tired to run.. He looks like a corgie with a samoyed's face.. and he's such a sweetie, luckily he had tags from his vet, and his city tag, but the vet is closed so we had to give him to animal control. They said they'd call the vet as soon as they opened.. People just make me sick.

I also just found a small female pit, who was probably about 3-4 years old(judging by her teeth) who was so skinny you could see every bone in her little body, I found her owners and the way they thanked us was "next time she drops pups I'll give you one" :irked: she had obviously just been bred and was running on a busy street.
The next day after finding her I found a dog that lived down the street from me running in front of cars, the owner said she had gotten out about an hour ago, when he was outside, but he was too busy cleaning to catch her

I just don't see how people have walked by this dog I found today for weeks without doing anything, I'm amazed nobody took him for bait yet, I guess he was lucky.

Rant over XP

FF, I want to marry your avatar. lol

Just an update.. I found a small female staffordshire bull terrier and a pekingese mix male who was with her, she was in heat and had obviously been bred a few times before.. The male had heat stroke, and was quite young..them there was a black mixed dog trying to get into a female pits yard(wonder why).. and a torn up shih-tzu, I had a hard time catching him.

ALSO, a few streets from me there is a house we drove past and almost ran over a pit puppy. The people next door to them say they let him out all of the time. this is a busy street! The next day we went by and there was a kid around 6-8 outside, alone, with their 3 adult pits playing ball, the dogs are sweet, but they are not fenced in. so this little kid and his 3 large dogs are by a busy street with not adults around. These people make me want to scream.. What's going to happen if these dogs attack another dog defending their yard or protecting their young owner? "3 vicious pit bulls attack a helpless family pet" would be all over the news.

This is a very strong pet peeve of mine....If you are going to have a pet. Take care of it and keep it safe in a yard or house at all times. There is NO excuse for letting a pet run loose. Not even a cat, yes they like to roam but they are perfectly fine if they never go outdoors. They have litter boxes and are easy to take care of. I don't care who you are, there is just NO excuse for having a pet and letting it roam free, period!

I'm always ashamed when my dogs get loose and bark up and down the street. It makes me angry thinking about people who don't care for their dogs as much as to get them inside when they escape.

Yep. I haven't seen the puppy I mentioned, someone said a car didn't stop for him and he went under their porch and died after being hit. He was about 4 months old.
