Clubs and swaps are good times indeed! I belong to six clubs both FW and SW.
Keep in mind guys when you get frags you get their tank with them...meaning any flatworms, nudibranchs, bryopsis, Acro Eating Flat Worms(AEFW), etc...
If you don't have a separate QT for 30 days then make sure you have a strong L.E.D. Light and a magnifying glass. Dip the corals in a strong SW/iodine solution backed uo with 5-8 drops of Flatworm Exit for 15 minutes and then inspect every inch of the frag, top, bottom, sides!!! Look for nudis, egg ribbons, egg clusters, algae clumps, flatworms of any kind, etc!!! This is paramount for your tank. I go to close to 30 swaps a year and always see contaminated corals. Sellers/traders are usually not aware. Red bugs are another issue with SPS guys.
Just a friendly reminder to all, inspect and dip your corals wether you got them at your LFS or a Fragswap!
