one more thing, don't know if this matters, yesterday i did a huge water change, I put the water in a clean drum, in hopes to reuse the water... anyways, I just checked it. ALL the green settled in the drum, the surface area in crystal clear... should i put it back in my tank ? Or what does this mean ?
i use my brita filter on all the water added to my tank, i just tested it, it seems it takes out all the phosphate, nitrate etc. or its extremely low because its not registering. and like i said on page 1, i just replaced the bulbs 10 weeks ago.
DO you have access to a UV sterilizer? you could run that to help to remove the algae out of the water column....
If you don't have a steraliser you're just going to be adding tonnes of spores back to your tank if you put the water back in. I would change out the water .
no, i dont have a uv ster. i dont even know what it is lol but like i said, its a loose loose situation, i keep the light on, it gets greener, i keep it off, i'm killing my reef, i dont know what to do
and i did change out the water, about 80% then it looks a little better, but seems like it comes back in a matter of hours
salt already cost me, just in water change over $100, so i only have barely another 50 to try and fix this
