hey john, do they eat algae? I was going to get more ghost shrimp to help me be finally rid of my hair algae, but they look a little... plain.

Fish_Freak - My goal is to have a CRS population that is sellable sometime in the summer 2007.

Fishcatch22 - Cherry shrimp are excellent algae eaters. I see them picking at BBA on the intake pipes. I dropped in a thread/clado algae covered mat of pellia, and within a week the algae disappeared undered the swarm of cherries picking at it constantly.

Punkyduck - My guess is that they will pick at your marimo ball with the potential to eat the whole thing, but that's only if you have a 150 or more cherry shrimp in your tank like I do. So until your reach that point, that marimo ball will probably be okay, as I imagine the growth rate of the ball will be higher than the rate that the cherries can consume.

Amazing! my lil guys finally got here. came in late because of weather and airport closing but that isn't anyone's fault. the lil guys came in healthy and alive! thanks for the free riccias and other plants. not to mention the extra baby shrimp. i didn't realize i have that tiny one until i was about to throw away the water. they are great shrimps. definately would do business again. :)
