And to think this could all have been solved with a simple response like so:

Nice tank, JardiniBoy!

What kind of setup do you have the fish in?
My clown loaches only hide like that when they dont have shelter, but it could just be the individual fish.

thanks, [insert name here]

HD3; honestly, i would not have xpected such a reaction from a memeber of your standing.

and for eveyone else who is beating a dead horse, for goodness sake, stop acting like children. whenever we behave like this on a forum like ours, we threaten to undermine the very essentials that make us what we are; that is, a user-friendly forum designed to help people, not crucify them.

fwiw, ime, it seems best to keep emotion out of the posts in cases such as this.

Your right blackwolfXKAV. I will try to keep my emotions to myself. Only :) from me from now. I've already apologized so lets get back to the topic. If anyone else has some clown loach pictures please share them with everyone! :)

Since some have felt that I have run others away from this thread :( and since no one else is posting any pictures I thought I would try to renew some interest in it. So here is everyones chance to return the favor and let the constructive criticism fly! :) This is a picture of one of my 6" clown loaches hiding in piece of Malaysian driftwood. I hope this will encourage others to post pictures of their funny clown loach antics.

I'm not an expert on loach behavior so I have no opinion about how they were acting. I know enough to say that the aquarium does look pretty bare in the last picture, where I think the bottom is shown quite clearly. I would suggest to the owner to at least get some gravel or sand for the bottom of the tank and a few structures.

H3D,

Does the loach swim in and out of that same hole that we see him threw or is it a hollow log with a seperate entrance?

Clown is most definatly a Appropriate name for these spunky little guys.

My cousin has 2 clown loaches, thinks they are the best fish ever.

He said its so funny at night watching them fall asleep lying on one another.

Pity my tank is to small to house them.

I noticed some very dull coloured ones at the pet shop today, now I know that they may have been stressed.
