Funny Clown Loach Antics!

Guys, H3D is just getting ancy waiting for the big game :D Cut him some slack.

I had some clowns in the past, and they would sometimes make clicking noises. I am not sure what it meant, but it was interesting to listen to. They seemed to be happy, so I think it wasn't a negative sign.

That's why I got mine. I love the clicking.

If they get too big, eventually I'll have to sell them.

I was vacumming yesterday and I found some empty snail shells. I was thinking, good boys.

They stick their head so far into the gravel to find things, they're funny! He'll dig his head down deep in there and I'll start to hear clicking like he found what he wanted.

H3D,

Does the loach swim in and out of that same hole that we see him threw or is it a hollow log with a seperate entrance?

A 3" hole goes through the 8" wide driftwood from one side to the other and there is a small hallow spot inside of it. Honestly I'm not sure why it hides in there by itself instead of with the other clown loaches.

"greying out" as it's called can happen for any number of reasons. Not neccissarily because of stress. Here is a link that explains a little more about it.

I must agree, clown loaches are some of the coolest fish i've ever run across.

Thank you for posting this. It is something all clown loach keepers should read.
