... Their deaths will be avenged when the guys that swallow them wind up with salmonella and other parasites from eating feeders...that's sad and disgusting!
Good point. What makes this even more amazing is that no alcohol was involved, and these people researched it beforehand...not whether it was safe or not, mind you, but how to do it best so as not to end up with a scratchy throat. Un...be...lievable.(Nicole please don't say this is a redneck activity.) It's an activity that occurs at fairs, colleges, bars, evidently churches and probably more places than we can imagine. Redneck, college kid, graduate, office parties, it happens. I do find it to be tasteless (no pun intended) for it to occur in a church setting as that is supposedly a sacred affair.
Now THAT would most likely be a redneck activity.I wouldn't eat a hamburger in front of someone that feels cows are sacred
Yeah, they used to be more extreme too, I believe. I doubt they are tree spiking any longer.Greenpeace was considered (still are by some) to be wackos yelling save the whales! and here 30 years later people are actually beginning to listen.
Very true. If you ask me, feeder goldfish need to be banned just like in the UK. We make it illegal for stores to sell fish food in which the nutritional content of the food is not analyzed (making it very difficult for hobbyists to sell their own food online without fear of legal ramnifications) and found to be of acceptable standards, so why do we sell feeder goldfish, which are known to make fish sick (diseases) and are nutritionally unsound (Thiaminase)? If they were really meant to be sold as food (not playthings) why would they not be gutloaded? How many people gutload their feeder goldfish before offering them?Change comes slow. Sometimes painfully slow. You just need to stand up for what you believe in and change the mindset, one person at a time if need be.
Correction: nobody cares on a large enough scale. We fishkeepers find it appalling.
