GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I am so *$#!#%@# angry right now!!

Raw clams and oysters are alive when you eat them.

So is the lobster right before you chuck it into that pot of boiling water.

Both are delicious

The point is that goldfish aren't meant to be eaten by humans, raw or cooked. You can debate on whether it's ethical to eat fish at all, but swallowing pet goldfish is like buying a pet rabbit from the pet store and eating it.
So I can buy it and feed it to my snake but I cant prepare it for myself for dinner?

I suppose you could, but it seems a bit strange, doesn't it? It's not really a great analogy since people do eat rabbit, but I've never heard of anyone making a meal with the main ingredient of goldfish. Carp, yes...and I know some S.A. countries barbeque plecos and so forth, but that doesn't have a whole lot to do with this situation.

Obviously, this was just a 1) foolish and 2) insensitive thing to do. A bad example for kids...and a health risk, to an extent.

The sad thing is, when a cougar or bear eats a human, they kill the animal even though it was natural. But when this happens nothing is done. Sad stuff. Luckily my church doesn't do that.

+1 Same with that Soul Surfer movie...why does the animal always have to die!?!?!?!

Because a human life is more "precious" or valuable than that of any animal. Humans are "easy prey" and sharks, alligators and numerous mammals can switch to hunting people as it takes less effort to eat us. In other words, eating humans is habit forming.

BUAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAAH People from a church group did this.

I usually completely refrain from posting things like this but tell them to read Proverbs 12:10 and they might understand that their actions are actually considered wicked.

For the main reason that they are not doing this for food but for a joke.

It is one thing to kill an animal for food, it is quite another to do what they are doing.

BTW, horses are made of food also, but I believe it's illegal to eat them in the U.S...not sure what other animals this law applies to, other than protected species, of course.

Dogs are food to some cultures as well. Personally I would never eat a dog because they are considered a sacred animal in my culture (American). It is not, however, my place to judge others who don't share the same beliefs as I do.

live feeder fish = food = pretty stupid. i'll give you that...

keep in mind, though... redneck = derogatory/idiot/three toothed bottle opener with greasy hair and a rat rod in the trailer park = very insulting... like a certain racial slur that's waved around far too often...

nicole, i love ya honey, but i resemble that remark. if you don't mind...
