Thanks guys. I know, I'm really bummed about it. I was sure excited about the prospect of raising those little fish. Curses. I guess we'll just wait for the next spawn. I'll repost when they spawn again.

Heh, lucky you. My goldies have laid eggs a few times before but my pleco would always make a meal of them before any hatched.

I should also add that spawning is a lot easier if you make a spawning mop for them.......heres a good article if you're curious

good news, everyone... someone left me a christmas present! a nice big batch of eggs. i've saved about 30. that should give me at least 20 hatched, with at least 15 making it through the first week.

i'm setting up the nursery today! i'll keep you all updated, as usual.

i have the same kind of goldies and they are outside in my horses water trough and they spawned this summer about 4 times and i had a bunch of different spawnings growing in there all summer and i netted the little ones out and brought them inside to grow, have since given them to the local pet store but i wish i could have kept them, but alas they get so big and i have no room left, but i use anachris tons of it just floating in a mass for the fry to hid in, and a giant sponge filter wich also feed them the live off of the organisms on the sponge till able to eat crushed flakes.

yeah, this was apparently the week everyone wanted to make babies. I had two cana clutches, four brig clutches, a glob of marisa eggs, and then the goldfish eggs.
i don't know what it is, but i guess love is in the air... er, water.
