Grins' 55g Reef

Is that a rare "upside down slimer". joking, cool shot Grins. How about a FTS to see all the new stuff in there. So jealous, I have no reef club around close enough, I guess I may have to start one around here, someday. Keep up the great work.:thm:

Grins, I have been reading some of your posts. Boy have you been busy since May. Your tank is coming along nicely. Did you get your ca/dkh/mg sorted out? I use the two part solution by Randy Farley Holmes which works great. Maintains my ca at 400 dkh at 7.5 mq/l and my mg at about 1300. It has done wonders for stablizing things. My clams seem to love it as my derasa has grown from a 3 inch baby to a monstor 9 inches in under a year..... good luck and keep up the posts. They are interesting....and besides there are not enough of us reef chicks out there.

lol no, but I have moved it to a hole that have the tips facing the front of the tank and I took the shot from above. I'll take a FTS soon although the blog has one from a week or so ago.
I tried to check out your blog, I can't seem to navigate through it, I guess I am SLOW or something. I guess I'm not a blogger. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Lorna, I did indeed get it sorted out using a new 2part solution put out by local sponsors of my club. It is similiar to Farley-Holme's from what I understand as one of his associates gave a talk at our club this last weekend where the 2part was also featured and they commented on it being very good as to the sorts of elements it was using. Now that I have them up where I want them I'm going to try and be patient and wait until I get the ATO fully set up and be certain I can maintain the numbers. If do that, I'll treat myself to my first clam after the new year and hope to have the kind of success you have. And I agree, we need more reef chicks, this site seems to be getting more and more and it's great.

lol, it isn't my design but the nice thing is that once you learn how to navigate one AC blog you can navigate them all. The direct link to the FTS is here: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/blog.php?b=130 I'll get some new shots up this weekend maybe.

Thanks Grins, tank looks like it is shaping up to be a very nice one as it grows. Good luck with everything, you seem to have a plethora of knowledge and support, took me 20yrs in the hobby, lots of trial and error in the early days. Keep up the great job.

Don't think we newer reefkeepers aren't very grateful for the wisdom those of you have shared on the web to make our starts in the hobby easier than they must have been before the web.

I try to be.. I just wish these guys were like computers so I could download their brains.. :D
