woah their skin is like leather hard, I guess thats why their so compatible with agressive cichlids because their skin is TOUGH!

Not all plecos however can take the beatings from cichlids and I would never suggest mixing them with extremely aggressive cichlids.

my friend put plecos in a cichlid tank and they ripped their eyes out
