Sumthin fishy, I am not saying that 1 otto, 1 cory, and 3 tetra is too much of a bioload. If this amount was more than doubled as she is considering, I do think that it would be too much of a bioload.
These things can be a matter of opinion. I just especially believe that a person's first tank should be carefuly stocked because accidents and mistakes are likey to happen in the first few months. Nobody is perfect. The fewer fish that are in the tank, the fewer casualties if disaster does strike. With fewer fish, it is much easier to keep up with water changes. I'm not trying to argue, I don't have a problem with somebody disagreeing. I'm just glad you are civilized about it!
