austinpetemo AC Members Sep 25, 2007 3,580 1 0 Newton Falls, OH Sep 29, 2009 #32 the outtake on that filter is freakin sweet. i agree tho, ive killed 3 HOBs on my 10gs from sand. if you can find a prefilter sponge and put over the intake it should protect it from sand/dirt/rocks/plants/fish/etc
