Okay, now that I've read all of this, I have a question....
Jamison, why are you arguing this topic so fervently? It is just a fish, after all. The majority of the ancient religions had icons, so just about any animal you can think of was considered sacred/worshipped/sacrificed or whatever....what makes the enose so different for you? Are you this fanatical about your chosen deity? (Not a knock, because I am about mine....) It seems like you are trying to get a rise out of everyone, and at this point you are beating a dead horse, er, fish.... We get it. The enose was sacred. So were the cat and the jackal. I understand. No further argument necessary.
On a side note, how did this whole enose thing go from a scientific discussion of intelligence in fish to a religious screaming match?
