So ..were sheep killed? or was it his fav sheep killed? or was it just the wolf about to kill the sheep before the townsfolk come?

Um, according to the definition that dictionary.com gave, most large fish in the Nile were sacred. Im sure somebody has kept some other large fish from the Nile (ie. RTCs). Im sure ther religions have had "sacred fish" also.

Yes..the large fish were mormyrids (elephant nose)
I do think the townspeople come and the parents say something and the end result being "I told you so"
 
i dont see where you get they were all elephant noses.
