Hop, Skip, Munch...

VERY NICE!!! Man, your SOO good with making rocky back rounds and water falls. I wish i was as good as you.

Thanks for the compliment CK! :)

LOL! How about a full tank shot?

Here you go... tried 2 different hood lights to see which works best and I like them both! Decisions decisions...

I need to work on the waterfall as it's splashing onto the front glass but hopefully I can get around doing any physical modifications by using a stronger pump. I need to do some serious LFS shopping this weekend! :)

Update on the concrete work - a very slight pH change over the last few days otherwise still looking good! :)

Update on the skippers - getting a little friendlier and getting used to the strange creature staring back at them through the glass...

Started working on the hood last night and heres 2 photos to show the progress. 2 x 14W compact flourescents give plenty of light. The plywood was cut to size using the "african power saw" in the second photo - powered by bicep & tricep, hence the need for so much filler! I must invest in some decent electric tools soon methinks! :)

Updated photo with some driftwood stolen from a tank I had to break down to make some room in our lounge. It may be a bit big but it's perfect for controlling the splashing from the waterfall as it's stopping the build-up of water droplets on the front glass. I added some molly fry this afternoon as crash-test dummies - they seem to be enjoying the current created by the waterfall! :)
