Sorry if I seem to be banging on at things you've already answered but if I don't understand something I keep asking until I do (very embarrassed now).
I've been looking at the GARF site again and I found something that I remembered but couldn't quite put my finger on... in the last 2 paragraphs before the day 3 section of this topic he mentions about using low lights and no skimmer as it would remove all the coraline spores that he's trying to cultivate. I assume this would only be the case if I was trying to "farm" corals and not for the basic marine set-up with live rock and (eventually) fish?
