How do you keep track of your maintainence?

I wing it.....

I use to keep track of everything in a note book, but haven't in quite some time now.

I mark down wc's for each of my tanks on my regular everyday calendar. I usually just test my tank water every month unless I see problems with the fish then ofcourse I check the parameters more often. This is the only way I can remember.:nilly:

I do water changes on Tuesdays, ferts on a daily schedule alternating micro and macros. I do the filters as close to the first Saturday of the months as possible. I never test unless I have a problem so no need for a book.

The turtles get done on Thursdays.

I have a spreadsheet on my computer where I log everything: water changes, water params, additions, deaths, etc.

same here. always do tanks on Saturday, and some times do them during the week if I get a chance.

I do it consistently:

* Water changes every Sunday.
* Filter maintenance on my parent's birthdays (which are 6 months apart). Sometimes this happens sooner if need be, but I always do it on the birthdays.
* Feed shrimp M/W/F
* Ferts M/W/F
etc

It's as simple or as complicated as you care to make it. You don't need to be an extremely organized individual to maintain your aquaria, rather you need to be consistent.

I know that on either of my days off I have to drain all the tanks half way and refill.

The filters tell me they need maintenance when their output starts to decrease.
