How many corys and clown loaches?

well, because I already have 8 Corys that I love and dont want to get rid of. I looked them up, and I dont really care for them too much. Id rather add more corys if I didnt get any loaches

Actually, after reading everyone's post and really thinking about what I want, I think I'm just gonna suck it up and get Angelicus Loaches, even if I have to pay $22 a piece. I like their colors better than the Clowns. Now that I have this decision made, how many should I get w/ my 8 Corys?

I have 4 clown loaches and 8 julii cory cats in my 90g...they get along fine! Everyone gets food alright and there is no aggression problems!! This is from my personal experience..and 2 of the 4 clowns are 4-5".

Candy, people. Seriously, eat some candy. It's good for you! Or at least for rage issues. Remember Garfield in the Halloween cartoon special, running around ranting, "CANDY CANDY CANDY!" like a hypoglycemic zombie? All he needed was some bloody candy, and then - POOF! - no more ranting.

Aaaanyway...I have faith that aparker will take into account everything that's been lobbed at her (sometimes more harshly than it had any right to have been) and make an informed decision.

Honestly, aparker, I have to say I'm very impressed with the seriousness with which you're considering everything involved here. Your profile says you're only a few months older than my baby sister, and if she had fish...well, it wouldn't work out very well, let's just leave it at that.

Heck, I have a friend my age (I'm like 104) who's had fish for years, and I hate going to their place because looking at their overcrowded, inappropriately stocked, filthy nasty tank that hasn't seen a gravel vac or a water change since they moved there just gives me hives.

Yeah, I really like the clowns, and I realllllllly like the angelicus loaches. Price was an issue, so I thought I would settle for the clowns. After much referral and talking to you guys though, I decided that the clowns are not for me, and regardless of price, I should get what I really want, and what my tank can hold. Thanks everyone!

By the way, I'll be buying these Angelicus Loaches 2 at a time until I get 4 since they're so expensive, will this be okay?

And one final thing to make sure I'm clear...........I have 8 Corys right now, and I want to add 4 Angelicus Loaches. Should I get anymore Corys or Angelicus Loaches than those numbers, or in a 60 gallon tank, will that be just right?

Hi,

I think you could get four more Cories, but no more loaches.

Yeah, IMO its fine to buy them two by two.

Good luck!

So 12 Corys and 4 Angelicus it will be!

Looks like the final.........final stocking is this lol:

2 Guppies
2 Platys
8-10 Dalmation mollys
4 angels
4 angelicus loaches
12 corys

If the guppies dont do good with the angels, could I switch them out with 2 Dwarf Gouramis or would that be overstocked?

If the angels and guppies have issues the guppies will probably end up as lunch. I would stop adding more fish after that as the angels will get quite large as adults and need lots of room.
