I was just asking, because everyones jumping on the OP about everything but snails. And I can't find anywhere saying
how many snails are in the tank.
I find it easy for someone that doesn't care for having
any snails, calling 20 baby pond or ramshorn
many! When they could have easily been brought in as eggs on a plant, a week ago.
And have absolutely nothing to do with water quality, conditions in the tank, etc.
And now, I'm learning. That snails will just magically appear like nitrosomas bacteria?
...
...Unless you correct the underlying issues the problem will come right back though.
And I don't see what the major upset is about the stocking, in that tank?
Its almost a species tank.
The OP said they were happy.
How do we know those same fish haven't been happily living together for 5 yrs?
I personally don't care for Tiger barbs. But if the person says they're happy. I can't see me saying they're full of it. I just need to believe it, and get back to the magically appearing problem snails.
