Corys are shoaling fish & would like to be in a group of 5 or 6 (or more!... more =more fun!)

It seem like your tank is getting there...How about some easy plants like java fern or anubias(several types of both to choose from)
 
Just don't get why the cherry shrimp love sitting on the sponge filter. That's what it looks like right now ...

Also I found that the betta loves hiding behind the sponge filter or next to the co2 ...

The other picture was what i found the following day when the catfish spat out the head and stomach and that was the day when I redone the whole tank....

Can't wait to show you the big tank only like a week away from being ready ! I think you'll like the plants I've chosen for this tank hehe he....

Yeah I think for the 15g I'll just put dwarf grass everywhere maybe the shrimp will like it more ...

Fishorama what you think get green cobra guppys or lots of neon tetras ? .... can't choose ...
 
I think that 15 gallon would look lovely with neons, the betta and cherry shrimp. Then move the cories and sword tails to the 4 ft tank and increase the numbers.

Keep a close eye on the betta and the sword tails if you keep them together, you may run into problems, or you may not.

Your betta may not get along with guppies' beautiful fins. He may think it's another male betta.

Neons like temps a bit cooler than bettas. Cardinal tetras would be a better choice & to me a bit prettier.

You shrimp love to graze on all the tiny goodies on the sponge. Don't be surprised if your betta eats small shrimplets.

I agree with Tiff on the sword & betta mix (although I have never kept swords). Will the swordtails move to your new tank?

What are those plants in the bucket?
 
It's dead plants that I removed but forgot flush the water so there been for a while it's my waste bucket in other words .

I want to get another 4ft maybe 3ft have one sitting on a custom able that I'll make and the 15g under there keep it running to use as a hospital tank

Maybe just get red belly piranhas to eat all the fish less problems right lol xd just kidding

Swordtails don't know if I should keep them very boring fish they swim together stay in one spot for most of the day where as if it was neons bit more active and will make that 15g look bigger ...

I don't know .....

So I've got a 4ft and a 15g planning to get a 3ft or a 4ft on Monday what fish should I keep and what should I get for the larger tanks ? Discuss ? Silver arowana? Red belly piranha even though there very boring? Neons? Guppys?
 
To be honest, you're not ready for discus yet.

You need to decide what fish you like that fit your tank & each other. Do some more research before buying
