Last night after getting countless advice on catching her, I finally got my holding Rusty out of the main tank. Used the flashlight after dark with a net in each hand and the small maglight in my mouth! I tried to strip her, but being small, it was way too stressful for both of us:irked:, so I left her in my 10g. Woke up this morning to momma and what I thought were 6 or 7 fry. I have an AC20 on the tank with a sponge over the intake and the flow down as far as it will go. After thinking about the posts I've read in the past about fry in the filter, I decided to just open mine as a precaution. Sure enough, 3 more alive in there. The sponge pre-filter was slit on the back, so I took it off and put rubber bands around it to close the slit. Seems to be OK. So the final tally is 10 fry confirmed! I fed them some crushed spirulina flake and I have BBS hatching now. And now my larger female seems to be holding a boatload of eggs.
