Jay's Planted 180g Tank.

Still having trouble balancing the tank but trying to avoid making changes in to short a period to really measure results so we'll have to see. BBA still an issue but it doesn't seem to be as aggressive as it was before so I'm still hopeful.

what's the tall, green background plants in the left and left-middle photos?

Your H. pinnatifida really looks like its growing well!

I know the pictures look spotty I didn't turn off the Co2 so that's all micro bubbles. I did clean off the front glass though....LOL

Left
Vallisneria americana with Cryptocoryne spiralis behind that but you can't see it through the Vals

Left middle
Background is Hygrophila augustifolia behind the Ludwigia glandulosa

I was hoping the H. pinnatifida would have a broader leaf but it doesn't appear too in my tank not sure if it's a characteristic of the plant submersed the emersed was short but broader.

Well I'm close to calling my battle with the 180g a victory. Although not perfect I can sit in front of my tank with some relief...LOL

Now I probably won't see a good ground cover until June if not later I am getting some growth from my C. parva. BBA is steadily declining as I'm still tweaking my ferts. I have a couple of plant species I may swap for some interesting ones nothing jumps out as a must have. I've been wanting to stumble across a A. nana white but haven't seen them priced anywhere and I'm not sure I want to give up a kidney for any rare plant...LOL

Looks really nice! I struggled with BBA from time to time in my old 125g discus tank.

Lowering light intensity for a few weeks (raising the lights) helped for me. Also ensuring good CO2 levels.

Thanks I may consider lowering my photo period in time right now I'm at 8hrs but I use to be at 6hrs. The tank will also be hit with sun light longer now with daylight savings so we'll see how the tank holds up, it wasn't a problem last Spring.

Slowly maturing

Right I think I need to thin out the A. nana get rid of those BBA leaves new growth seems fine. (closer shot below)

The Ludwigia glandulosa is growing like mad with new side shoots which I haven't seen this plant do before at the other house. I literally had 1 stem given to me for about a year and all I was able to do was trim the top and replant never propagated.

Foreground C. parva hope it fills in before Sept... That maybe a Blaxya in the middle but I haven't had that plant in there in months.

You can see the BBA on the nana old leaves but it's not dying either, new leaves not so much but

wow!! that looks amazing! yeah once that carpet grows in, it'll be perf
