JK47's 225 Gallon Build Thread

The Satanoperca Mapiritensis. This IS MY FAVORITE fish. Google it and see how much info or availability on them and you will see why... Total stud. :worthy: The 135g is being built for him first and the red heads second. Named him "JuJu" for the black magic. Satanoperca means "satans perch" so he had to get a cool name. Normally don't name fish but hey, it's my fav so why not?

Sorry for the water stain on the acrylic but check out the blue on this guy. He is about 7". It also developed a black tip all along the dorsal fin and his tail fin is healing slow but well.

I realized how crappy the pics of the plecos were so here are better ones. They get along GREAT and both will be staying in this tank. The big one is the coolest pleco I have ever owned. ENJOY!

You can see the two together as well as the size difference between the two. They never leave eye shot of one another.

The Amblydoras Nauticus, the marbled raphael catfish(s). These guys have finally started coming out to feed with everyone else so I could get a pic, crappy but a couple pics none the less. If I add a new fish, I don't see these two for 2 weeks... Check out the spines all the way down the length of the body.

And finally the Apteronotus Albifrons (black ghost knife). It's pretty big but I can't say of it has grown any. They are pretty slow growers beyond the 10" mark from what I have been told. Keep in mind, it is stretching at least half of the width of the tank and it is a 24" wide tank. Easy math. I would say it's between 11" & 12"+ but hard to get a pic with a ruler. I will try though.

And yeah, that Anubias it getting pretty big huh? :22_yikes: Lots of roots!
