Jpappy's CP setups

I was thinking zip ties would be nice. I really don't want to change things up too much with lighting so if I could mount the current T5 fixtures I have to the undersides of the shelves that would be nice, the only issue being that currently my plants are MUCH closer to the lights...trying to get them to hang might be better?

sure, you could get some nice cable hardware, and use cables to hang the lights a little lower. or you could probably rig something with zip ties. griplock stuff is so nice, so easy to deal with, and not that expensive. you might even be able to get samples for free if you play your cards right. http://www.griplocksystems.com/

That's the same type of shelving I have, Pappy. Lighting was totally easy to hang. My fixture has wire hangars built into the top, so I Just used a metal rod to hang it from the top shelf.

How will you deal with the humidity issue? Is it humid enough where you are to be ok without the tanks?

Shouldn't be a huge issue, I was able to grow the miranda and ventricosa on a shelf last year without issues...my room stays pretty humid. I figure with all the evaporating water from the trays and the 10 gallon which I'll put below that they should do fine. I'm most worried about shocking the plants since I can get to almost 60% in the tanks, and the room is probably a bit less than that...

If they're well acclimated to 50-60%, they shouldn't have a problem reducing it a bit. I think you'll be fine. Can't wait to see pics of the process. *cough* hint *cough*

Hah, still need to move back and all...will update as soon as possible but don't expect anything my first night there. Friday around 2pm sounds about right ;)
