I had a piece of driftwood float for 3-4 years. I had to hold it down with stones propped on/around it. I just incorporated the stones into the scape.

Still have about 10 stems of Bacopa and a bunch of little pennywort strands floating since I ran out of room. Should be fun to see what makes it in the tank, going to be a bit of a competition!
Unfortunately my camera phone makes it look a bit more cloudy and dim than it looks in person.

Yeah, it's actually not as bad as I thought it would be with the plants to draw your eye away from it now. I'm thinking that if it doesn't stay sunk I may attach some moss to the rock and just leave it...
