Geez... just finally noticed this thread. Correct me if I am wrong, but is this rock with string not a psychological device? It would seem the most logical explanation is to keep your fish with suicidal tendencies from taking the big jump.... :duh:

A a last minute update, CNNN just reported a violence outbreak by costumers who demanded their LFS a money refund after the violence generated in their tanks bt the infamous rock with purple string.
Costumers have been able to find a second use to their product by tossing it at the stores, thus shattering widnwos and tanks. The worse part of the attacks is thet the purple string allows the attackers to easily retrieve the rock and toss it again.
However, poeple who bought a rock with green string are happy with their purchases.
