Seriously folks its a placeholder vote. I expect it will change. Nothing on JB other than he usually finds me scummy on Day 1 and he didn't pass any comment on it this time which strikes me odd.
yeah lets call it a hot lava vote so I don't get a lesson in the meaning of random.
well... forgive me for complimenting someone. i believe it simply states in that quote that you are a very capable player.
but now... since you're so defensive...
i'd like to know what it was about that statement that bothers you.
I haven't said anything about JB

I keep going through the thread to find something that sticks out. I think I finally did.
Day 1, Zaffy votes Rich with a reason that I originally took to be a joke in the spirit of most of the Day 1 voting.
Then he actually goes on when questioned to defend this vote. No mention of it being a joke or half-joke. Zaffy seems to believe in this vote at this point. He really seems to have put some time and effort into his analysis of what happened.
Zaffy changes his vote to survive.
Then we get this after nightfall.
More defending of his vote on Rich. Still no mention of it being a joke.
Now, after being pressed again about it... Zaffy doesn't think there's anything to it. Why, Zaffy, at no point earlier did you make reference to the fact that this really wasn't much to go on?
When I first read Zaffy's post after nightfall stating that he wasn't turned, I thought it was Zaffy being goofy. Now I tend to think that it's a private joke for the scum den to laugh at. If this is right, I tend to think he was telling the truth about not being turned... that's what would make it funny. So if I am right, Zaffy was scum from the start.
I know it's thin, but it's better than anything else I have atm. IDK how my time will turn out this afternoon/evening, but this is subject to change should something else come up and I have time to get back on.
I vote to lynch Zaffy.
taking everything in context for what it isthat's not how mafia games work!
I thought that was clear. Everyone was voting randomly and Zaf made a big deal out of Rich voting randomly. Claiming it wasn't random at all. Zaffy's vote wasn't random it was for a reason. I got the feeling that Zaffy's reason was an attempt to make something out of nothing. Zaffy being Zaffy though it's hard to tell. I might have been wrong (of course we won't know that till we know Zaffy's alignment). At this point if I have to place a placeholder vote it will still be Zaffy till something better comes along.
It seems uncharacteristic that FF can produce such a definitive list at this point. So far, every time I try to pare the player list down to a few suspects, it just ends up running me in circles. I'm nowhere near able to pin anyone down like that yet.
If I could settle on someone specific without feeling conflicted about it, I would. And I'd have my vote placed already. Lacking an actual list, however, I don't mind sharing my thoughts.
FF is unusually well composed for his normal play this game. In his case, I don't view that as a good sign in terms of his innocence. He also says my posts scare him and no there's doubt that statement is true! LOL. Very likely, for good reason too. My posts should scare you, FF.... if you have something to hide. Looking back at the final vote count, I think FF was playing it safe leaving his early vote on Pir. It's ironic then that FF blames me for losing an innocent Pir in that case.
On Zaffy and Rich.... Of the two, it did seem Zaffy was trying to get something going early on Rich. I don't share Rich's view on Neph and wonder if he hopes to lighten the town's focus on him. There could be a sinister reason for that... or not. I'm not sure yet. I disagree with Rich's opinion that I pushed Pir over the edge. Pir managed to accomplish that quite well all by himself. But I also can't fault Rich for seeing it the way he does. Reviewing his posts, what I read seems consistent... nothing strikes me as manipulative, with his take on Neph as one possible exception. And the fact that we disagree on a few points doesn't mean we're playing on different sides.
As a general observation, I feel Neph, Bally, DD, and AAF are trying to keep a low profile. Of those 4, Neph and Bally seem most evasive. I wondered about Dun and pressed him to give us a name who he would have voted. It kinda irks me that he didn't actually give us that name but he was willing to lay out his thoughts (on record) in detail. That doesn't seem evasive or non-committal, which is what I wanted to find out when I posed the question.
Beyond this, I don't have any idea where to vote yet. I still keep going back and forth too much.
