Since I am trying to figure which way to go on both, HN and Mad I have gone through their day one posts on Beth..I figure that post HAD to come up for SOME reason....Anyway, here goes....it's a long one.

Here was the post that popped up, NO I hadn't planned this before hand and still have know idea why it was there. Here HN starts on Beth.

Other than the oddities of Beth's avatar and Jmax's signature change, nothing much of interest... The changes aren't lynchworthy, just interesting at this point. HN brought up an argument in the Santa game about Judge being the Grinch, based on an avatar change, that proved pretty accurate.
Mads first post...jumps right in on Beth also also mentioning Jmax. Then how HN was right on a avatar thing in the past.

Rb admitted to making a post in THIS game as Brains2, not to playing as Brains2 last game. Until someone more guilty comes along...

You recently changed your avatar to the cat in the pumpkin... as you said, because you liked it. Ice expressed minor disapproval and you immediately agreed to change it.
Your avatar was bringing you unwanted attention, so you changed it to blend in and avoid further attention. In this game, scum tries to blend in and avoid attention.
What's this post? I didn't play the last round, but from what I read, I recall you being scum then. Why so surprised that people would suspect you, now? This type of post is called an 'appeal to emotion' and is a scumtell... Once again, because you're receiving unwanted attention, you're trying to get people to leave you alone. Why so eager to get out of the limelight?

You are given the same benefit as everyone else. On Day 1 there's never much to go on, so, in an effort to get any information out there, people often push others pretty hard over little things. The fact that you're acting a little 'wiggy' when pushed on these things (so early in the game) is of interest.
Then Mad is still there also.
LChap, as the game goes on, you may see me 'hassle' many folks who I don't immediately vote for (or vote for at all, for that matter). Part of the game consists of shaking bushes and see what runs out... Some players react strongly when 'pushed' a little, and those reactions may be telling (regarding their scumminess or innocence).
As far as a 'train' on Beth, I think there might only be Hooked Newbie's vote on her at the moment, which doesn't constitute much of a train. A couple of interesting points, though, is that you don't include HN on the Beth train, and that you reiterate many of the points others have mentioned when questioning Beth, yet you don't consider yourself on the Beth train.

Beth- Believe as you like, but IMO I've done more than place a simple vote. I voted for reactions and got a big one. I don't give a &^%@ about your avatar stuff, but you FREAKED when I put my vote on you and to me, that is a tell. It really doesn't matter since I believe you know exactly what everyone is already. If you are innocent, I hope to see more quality posts from you instead of mere one line answers and off the rocker reactions. This post is a good start. What do you think about the usually boisterous Judgemax since you had an opinion on her and her motives so early in the game?

Same tune as yesterday Beth. If you think I'm a pirate, you're wrong, but why not vote for me? You retracted your vote against me because I called it for what it was. When did you plan on voting? You've named suspects, why not vote for one of them? You claim that I'm doing nothing to help the town and then come with this drivel? The only reason that you're calling me out in the least is because I've been on your case. Those who question you, look "guilty" to you, those that don't leave you with "nothing either way".
Here's my problem Beth.... you are spending ALOT more time trying to proclaim your own innocence than you are at trying to find Pirates. If you suspect that I'm a pirate, then make a case. If you suspect DD or anyone else is, then make a case. If you can find someone that looks guiltier than you do, I'll gladly move my vote. Right now you are the only one that has posted MULTIPLE things that look evil so I'm content keeping my vote on you. I've questioned just about everyone, you've questioned 2 of the 3 that are voting for you. How's that supposed to help the town? (That's rhetorical so no need to respond with another defensive run on sentence).

Based on activities so far, here's a list of folks who bear a little closer scrutiny
Beth - I mentioned it yesterday, but she acted awfully 'wiggy' when questioned. Threatened to not play future games. Immediately threw a vote back at HN when he voted for her.
Grins - Currently pushing others to post more, but has not posted much of substance herself. A lot of giggly posts yesterday about mg hating saltwater, etc.

JM - All 3 of these seemed a little more interested in LChap's pregame avatar analysis than they probably should have been. In addition, JM has been very quiet on Day 1 while JL has been very vocal....what's up with that?
rbishop - As blueiz mentioned, rb seems a little disgruntled this game for some reason. Seemed irritated when JL accused him of bickering with the other mods. Kind of gave Malbri an elbow when she called him 'an old fart' (although, being well on my way to old fartdom I'm not sure how I would react to that). Also seemed to get a little worked up over the mg PM issue. Not sure if these are scumtells, but something seems to be eating at rb...
I'm leaning toward a Beth vote, but would like to see Grins' response first.

Her jumpiness when questioned, appeal to emotion, OMGUS vote are all scumtells. It's semi-rare on Day 1 to find someone committing one of those tells, let alone all of them. She's got to be a pirate.

Beth, you've played this games a few times now, so you know that the object of the game is to lynch scum. On Day 1, you've appeared the scummiest... Even you agree that your actions look scummy. The fact that you admit to looking scummy, but claim that it's not what it looks like is noted. The problem is, though, that in this game the pirates will lie when caught. My vote stands.
I'll agree you admitted that the typo looked scummy, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not twisting anything. In the post below, you're defending your actions...not by saying 'You're crazy, how can you possibly think that?' but instead by saying that you basically made poor (seemingly scummy) choices. If they didn't make you look scummy, they wouldn't have been poor choices, right?

They both seemed to be going pretty hard on Beth IMO, it's hard to say from this...but after Beths lynching HN say's where he figured she was innocent. So honestly I may have to lean more toward HN, that is still bothering me too. I will find the post and replies after. Will also be looking at more then day one before I can decide between these two.
