Wing Nut, my post about cj was almost right at nightfall.

I had cj more innocent that he was busy with his trip and really did his best to explain his copy and paste, but I had this idea that he might be communicating mafia and remembered his trip after the game started and knew he was going to UD when he left so his teamates lynched him as a way to win the town over. I felt too big of a deal was being made over the copy and paste and for the most part did not trust the ones voting for him.

JL, below is the case I made against cj. Do you think that it's weaker than your case against Zigman?

Nobody is trying to lynch cj because he misspells things...IT'S BECAUSE HE LIED. DD questioned his font and he claimed that he cut and pasted into the thread because he wanted to avoid spelling errors, but there were still spelling errors. When questioned, it appears that only certain spelling errors apply. WTH is that about?

Let's look at cj's post, and I'll explain to you what I see.


Firstly, it's been established that the post was cut and pasted. So cj apparently typed the post in Word, then individually spell-checked only his favorite misspelled words. After making corrections, he cut and pasted the text into the thread, but before submitting the post he also then added a smiley. Whew! That's an awful lot of work for a post with no real substance to it.

Based on the content of the post, I doubt that anyone had to feed the post to him, but why is cj being so careful about what he posts? If someone makes a long content-laden post, I could see doing it in another progam, then pasting it in, but there's really nothing to this post. It doesn't make sense to do what he did. It seems quite possible that he's interested in blending in with the crowd (which is what mafia tries to do), trying to be sure that he doesn't make too many waves with anyone. Why else toil over this seemingly ordinary post, as he's done?




Once again, it's not a typo. IMO cj's:

1. Done very little hunting for mafia this game
2. Tried to be overly careful in what he posts
3. Been untruthful about his reason for cutting and pasting (as there were still misspellings in his post)
4. Gotten very active (and available) when it came time to save his own skin

Shortly after nightfall you mentioned that you thought Luvbugz was scum, however, you and she seemed to be in agreement on a couple of things. She also thought that Zigman was mafia, and she also didn't like the train on cj. Did you think that she was scum and just following you?

Luvbugz was on my list of suspects as being mafia. I did think Luvbugz was playing better and getting more involved. It is a suprising hit.

I vote for the Zigman and here are my reasons: He comes in and posts basically nothing for awhile, but then all the sudden posts something that makes some sense. Maybe being coached from someone? Too many people have so easily followed the CJT train. I am sure this is exactly what Rich and Wingnut want. Rich and Blueiz are voting the exact same way again. Interesting....

well, just got home from hell day at work; I hate it when the auditors come! :swear:

Luckily there has not been much posting that I have to catch up on, however I will need to review and reassess. I had thought Bugz was scum up until late yesterday when she really started getting involved, then I started doubting it.... (hope she does not get discouraged and plays again) just to clarify before the questions start; yes I know I voted for her; as I said I thought she was scum until late and moving my vote held no bearing as she was hit and not lynched.
Bad news is mafia gets another hit next nightfall and also have the investigation results. Wonder how that played out?

Wingnut, I understand your questions regarding Zig as I am baffled about what side he is on; but my question is, if not Zig then who do you think is the next in line on the suspicion scale? What are your theories? Only a few players are actually putting their theories out there. This is not a solo game.......(I guess I am asking this of all, not just wingnut)

But you werent concerned that he would come and vote confidently very early on, and have nothing to back up why he chose to vote for that person? I mean he knew who to vote for way before nightfall, and couldnt explain why.

(To avoid any confusion, DD is replying to me here when I asked why she decided not to vote for CJ since he was her main suspect (at that time) after she'd seen that others already had voted for him.)

The reason I was uncomfortable voting for cjt initially is solely because rich was voting... Not because rich was 3rd in line, but because I feel like rich is part of the mafia. I have a feeling about luv at this point also.... she seems shady too, so that would make 3. UNLESS, rich is voting cj to throw others off...

Thanks for explaining that, DD. It made me wonder if you were up to something by not voting for the person you clearly suspected because you didn't actually want him lynched after all. Trying still to figure out some disparities between statements and actions as I browse through the posts.

Now we know LuvBugz was innocent so that shady connection you were considering isn't there. But we still can't be sure of anything because not all the mafia are communicating with each other..... and they outnumber us.

For a while there, I thought blue was mafia. I had no doubt, and that is why i voted for her. Then she had some valid points that in my mind took her off the chopping block for now.
Then noodles starting posting a lot and took the attention off of her and put it on everyone else, which the mafia is trying to do. Which is why she got my vote (for now)

If you're right about this, TRS... it means Blueiz and Noodles could be working together. That would mean all the finger-pointing between them previously had been staged for our benefit just to throw us off.

But now you have some like kashta who calls everyone else unhelpful but I don't really see her do much. Which right now, she is on the top of my list, over noodles.

Not true, TRS. Everyone wasn't being unhelpful at all. That's the whole point here and that's what really stood out for me.

I had a LOT people to evaluate before making my vote last night and it's very hard to guess who can be trusted. What I did was look for (1) those who weren't helping us find scum AT ALL because they may not want us to find mafia players, (2) those who were just arguing or being defensive to save their own necks which is also suspicious, and (3) those who seemed to be hiding out in the shadows. I came up with 4 reasonable possibilities from that effort and I shared it with everyone several hours before our votes were due. Everyone could see where my suspicions fell and had a chance to offer their comments... the 4 people I pointed toward also had their chance to address my points of view... fair is fair.

All the other names I didn't list as suspicious when I posted that have been extremely helpful to us (at least those who aren't also trying to manipulate us). I'm still trying to figure out how to unravel the deliberate lies here from the truth (and I hope I'll eventually get better at it as I participate in mafia games in the future).

I should probably add here that in the time since I raised questions (along with the others) that you've stopped being as defensive as you were previously and you've started posting more....... same thing with Zigman who I've voted against twice. Whether this means anything good or bad is something we'll have a chance now to determine before night comes again. LuvBugz turned out to be innocent so I was wrong about her. She could have gone either way..... but I was right about CJ. He was hiding out.. for a reason.

Or he could have been busy and couldn't play the game haa. I have a feeling that you know something about zigman, because as you said you have voted for him twice, and you still seem like your leaning towards. Good or bad who know. I am kind of leaning towards blueiz and noodles are working together because they seem to get in big arguements, only to end with not voting with each other. Noodles is still on the top of my list because of the way she talks and seems to always find a way out of being pin pointed.

Noodles, what do you think you have done for the game, and who is on your list?

This goes along with the red thing up there. What do you mean I started posting more? I have always been somewhere near the top. Do you mean, I started to give my ideas more?

I am sorry I was absent today. i have two inventory costs I have to get to the **** accountants on the morrow.

I don't have clear cut idea of who I suspect right now.

kashta has been busy and questioning.

Noodles is very active. Not sure how productive but active.

Wings has added thoughtful ideas.

Not getting a read on Red and Z.

Blues was talking quite a bit, again not sure if she is being helpful or just blowing smoke.

Long way to go before the next nightfall.
