Mafia 54:Vampires Return (The Play)

Rbishop has a priest over....blessing all 28 tanks so he has plenty of Holy Water....

Kashta you would pretty much count as a veteran anyway.

Agree with that.

OK, so we've (weel, Kash) established that the LV could be picked or not. I think it's safe to assume at this point that all this doesn't really matter.

Personally, I think it's more important that we look at the potential victims (the two automatic turns). Those are the ones that it should be easier to pick out. The seer can investigate them and could get lucky, even on night one (seer investigates last).

Do you guys think we should post a list of the ones we would turn if we were the LV? We've done it in the past, but I'm not sure if there was a lot of value to it. On the other hand, it might give the seer a goot list of possibles.

Thoughts?

Don't see how it can hurt Ogre....but it could also show the LV who not to pick....

Me?? lmao.. that's cute. No Coler.... I highly doubt Ice would hand pick me for a critical role.

For that matter... the players who know me and who've watched me play would rank me quite high on their Most Likely to Get Herself Lynched list. That's my impression of myself anyway... (so far still) based on some really stupid mistakes I've made in the last several games that put me on the hotseat or got me lynched right away.

In that last game, I had the Doc's role (assigned randomly by the mod). That turned out to be a disaster for me (and it hurt the town) because I didn't know how to approach that role yet. I couldn't figure out who to protect and I misunderstood the instructions JL sent me about investigations. I also managed to get myself lynched on Day 1.

Would you hand me a much more complex Lead Vampire role in this game? I doubt that very much. However.. I can see why you would make this suggestion. I've played 4 games (and a 1/2)... while you've been doing this for a lot longer. Game 17 happened a year and half ago. And I believe you were listed on that game's player list.

I vote to stick a stake into Annie; just a fairly random vote at this point, altho she (?) again seems to be just popping in to make a vote and that is all the contribution we get. This vote is subject to change as the day progresses.

Yes Noods, because there must be thousands of clues I missed, with two pages of posts. I probably should have it all figured out by now. Last game, you and your scummy friends tried to start a train on me a couple times using this very same reasoning....Hmmmmmmm......

If I were LV, I think I would select a noob to turn. The vets have wayyyyyyyyy to much heat on them, and the Seer is more likely to investigate the veterans first.

If the roles were handpicked, I think Ice would have been careful to select players who will be fairly active and not UD.

I agree we need to think about what the Lead Vampire + 2nd Vampire would be doing and how they'd approach this. But I'm concerned about us throwing out names to suggest who we think are innocent, who any of the village PRs might be, or who might be the most useful or least risky choice for the vampires to turn. Doing that, we're just setting each other up by helping to do the vampires' thinking for them.

Instead of posting names, I thought about the tactics they might use. First, we know they'll work as a team... everything's coordinated so it won't look like they're working together. The LV will pick a partner they can rely on to survive (not get themselves staked/lynched early in the game) and one who can influence other people in the thread. For lynching, they'd probably push for someone expendable.... someone they're not interested in recruiting for their team. For turning, I think they'd target someone who's innocent AND most likely to be a PR. That would get them one less body on the opposing team, a vicious/crafty vampire working on their side, and eliminates a (powerful) village PR who's trying to ID them and kill them.
