Mafia #67 - 50/50 -- The Play

So then, in your opinion, whose lynch would at least yield more information than FF's?
Nearly anyone IMO. Throw a rock. At least with other players, they make an amount of sense that can be recognized (even if not agreed with). Lynching a player like that COULD give us more info to go on becuase it's not all about interpretation.

So your philosophy is lets have everyone vote for a random person instead of voting for the person who has shown the most scumness by what they have posted? I think day 1 votes should always be for the person who has acted the scummiest. Not always will you be able to learn something from what happened if they turn out to be innocent but if they are mafia you will learn something from it.

I was just rereading the thread trying to figure out who to vote for, and this post struck me from Noods:
wow! trying to get caught up but in all honesty it will take a couple reads to try to make some sense of it. Only having played one game with FF, and being on a communicating team with him in that game, I can say that while he does post a lot of babbling fluff he does tend to slip a tidbit every now and then. Problem being, not knowing which side he is on it could be hard to pick out of the rest of the babble. I can say that these past two games have been the busiest Day !'s i have ever seen! LOL

Need to read again and see what i can come up out of all of this..........
This game has started off like the last one. I've also not seen day 1's with this much to go on. Yet I keep seeing awesome players saying "it's day 1, there's never anything to go on." Labby and Pap are in the group saying this... I don't remember who else at this point. I would ordinarily agree with this statement, except that there has been a flurry of serious posting with a long time yet to go before nightfall. In all this posting, if the best thing you have to go on is FF, then shame on you for phoning in your participation. Added to that, I used that exact same argument last game to great effect. I'm not buying the "it's only day 1 thing a bit at this point."

Then I came across this...:laugh::omg:.

Apparently, twisting words runs in the genes. When did I ever say vote for someone random? Pull the post... please. The point I'm trying to make is let's scrutinize posts of players who say things that make sense. Out of everything that's been said there's bound to be more there. FF will make clear what he is on his own.

Really, I'm getting the feeling that people just aren't reading.

Sorry I haven't been around, (it is tough to think about coming to the game thread with Kashta half drunk and half naked next to you on the sofa)

Anyway, I am a little concerned here with the way this day has gone. First of all, history has a way of repeating itself unless we can learn from it.

Last game I was accused of being preoccupied with FF and got my teeth kicked in for it. This game everyone is jumping on Labbys band wagon.

lets look at history. Day 1 lynches have been what? INNOCENTS do we want to repeat that on this game?

Yes FF did get very confusing, we are talking about FF here.

Yes he did contradict himself. (see above)Re read the thread, he didn't get contradictory to himself or sound scummy until under the gun from LR. Who, by the way, gets the same way when she is under the gun.

I don't agree Lr is looking at others as she claims. What I see is LR campaigning to get FF lynched.

Just my own half drunk and over tired observation.

Since I do need to get up early for work, I need to vote now.

I vote to lynch LR

It seems to me that she found an easy day one target and wants to run with it.

Let me start by saying that was a whole lot to read, then let me say it did not say much.

Is FF guilty, not sure but for anyone else making those posts I would say yes.

I worry about LR twisting FF's words around they are pretty incriminating and do not need much help.

I find the fight of semantics between Ice and Lr much more interesting than this FF silliness.

I can say I still would not waste hits or invests on FF, no matter what happened last game. That would be a waste.

I am more than willing to vote FF just to end this silliness, but lets see if anything else shakes out.

I will be home the rest of the evening and will try to be active and ask and answer questions.
Can you expand on the bolded part Rich?
This is the most reasonable excuse for this vote that I've seen yet.

I was going to try to make some points, but screw it. I vote to lynch Labby.
I think I've made my reasons clear, but for the sake of good form, I'll go through the bullet points.

1. she has stated several times that she's been looking at other suspects, but the only one's I've seen listed are those of us not attacking FF. and I haven't seen any reasoning other than that.

2. the way I read the thread, she's either twisted words and stats to suit her purpose or just really misunderstood. I'm willing to risk her life to find out.

3. FF makes an easy target. Which is why it was so easy to implicate Wiz last game. It seems to me like Labby could be using this as a convenient distraction. Really, IMO, FF is only a distraction when the town lets him be.

4. I don't like the train at all.

Really JB? Is your memory span that short?

Last game Lab was also an IW who KNEW that Noods was scum. To expect game play to stay the same doesn't make any sense unless you think that Lab is an IW in this game also. It's funny you question Lab's ability to think about all the possibilities when you yourself didn't.
First of all, I know that Labby isn't an IW this game, there may be some things I miss but I am not that dense, but thank you for the hit up on the lack of confidence in my theories or thoughts. My point was that her "play" is very different than it was last game and Labby already explained that. I don't need additional comments and additional explanations from some peanut gallery... but thanks anyway....

you sure are quick to defend her though.... how about others who are playing "differently" from the last game or other games before this? Why does the pointing out of this bother you about Labby and no one else that's accused of not playing the same?

As far "me questioning Labby's ability to think about all possibilities", this is something Labby does or has done in other games as an innocent or helper of the town.... and I pointed it out that it seems to be missing from this game.

Since there isn't much to look through in your posts, I have found that even YOU have even mentioned a player's actions of last game... which now peaks my interest even moreso on why you seem to be lying down a defense for Lab.

I totally had the same thought as I was catching up on what has been said since i've been away. It makes sense when FF asks both teams to investigate him if both teams knows that he is SB he'll get to stay around in game till the end. It makes me happy that my revenge vote on him was right at the beginning. It also helps that FF has been ridiculously scummy in his posting. I'd give it 50 / 50 between SB and non com mafia.

Yes FF is playing differently this game. He isn't being roped in by his team on his postings even though they are suspect just like last game. He drew attention last game but then his team told him to shut up and the suspicion was drawn off him.
