Sorry rocker, your vote didn't influence mine, and neither did your PMS.

The fact that Zaffy is keeping his vote on jpap even though they're agreeing on many things just reinforces the scummy feel I get from him. Actually, I'd be happy to vote jpap since I think they're working in conjunction with each other.

Well, I'm finally back and it looks as if there is plenty to comment on! Read through some and need to go back now so I can add my comments, thoughts, answers and so on!!

They share a brief meal but all too quickly she has to head off to do her chores. He worries that she might be just the kind of treat that would be so appealing to big bad wolves. He spies some tall blue flowers growing at the edge of the meadow and moves over to pick some of this wolfsbane. He offers her a flower explaining it repels werewolves. He pins a second flower to his tunic as he watches G leave....

<<fade out to Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs (Played on a lute of course)
"Owoooooooo!
Who's that I see walkin' in these woods?
Why, it's Little Red RidinG Hood.
Hey there Little Red RidinG Hood,
You sure are looking good. ">>

Hope this isn't meanin your a big bad wolf!!!!!

just how everyone seemed to jump the gun this early in the game. i do agree with you kash(cant believe i just said that) that JMs posts seem scummy, and i will keep an eye on him

JB, you are always on my scummy list, same with Jpappy.

lady G, i noticed you got close to saying the words "i am going to eat you" or something like that (Jpap already beat me to it and fixed your quote for you...)

:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:
Here it is. Rocker says that LG "got close to saying the words 'i am going to eat you'". IMO, this is taking what she actually said way out of context. Care to quote the post, rocker?

Agreed, feel free to say something else...

Fixed.

More confirmation that G is evil...it's in her posts...the evil smilie says it all :grinyes:
How sweet of you to change my words, what ya mad we didn't share with you...:headshake2: I'm thinking you may like the taste of human meat much better!

Question for some of the old timers in these games. I skimmed around at the end of that original werewolf game to find out how many people there were on the scum side when this format was played before. That isn't easy to figure out though.... that game just ended with a town win and 1 last werewolf. There wasn't a summation of all their roles/etc. as they all knew who was who already by then.

Does anyone remember?

I'd ask FF, but seriously doubt he's going to tell us how many werewolves we're up against. We might, however, get a fairly accurate idea from that previous game, since that's what FF used as a guide for this one.
Kash, I just don't remember. It was one of the first, if not the first game I played, but really do not remember at all how many were wolves.
If I had to guess, I would say 3-4. Although knowing how FF seems to like the evil side he may of went higher but I can't imagine even for FF it would be more then 5.

Ummm, no Rocker I didn't say or come close to saying I was going to EAT anyone.

so far, not sure if LG is innocent or not.
Ok, so are you sure or unsure of anyone else....or are you just throwing my name out there cause you like to say it???

I haven't been in all of these games, but the ones I have been in have not had joke votes. The only one where voting was cast for no reason on day one was where a rule was put into place that said every day, the first post a person posted had to be a vote. Then of course it was random and excepted. In this game, there is no such voting rule so to me, it looked odd
Ok, JM...I really do not want to jump on the JM train but I do NOT believe for one minute you have NEVER played a game where there were "joke" votes. Even though some of the more resent games have started a bit more serious then others...there were still some joke votes here and there...I'm not buying it JM.

Ok, not sure what my schedule holds tomorrow, so I need to go ahead and place a vote before going to bed. I've been going back and forth among Zaffy, jpap, and jm for my vote. As I said prior, I'm not really comfortable putting my vote on jm at this point. Jpap may be being his usual aggressive day 1 self, but I don't like how he and Zaffy have been mimicking each other in their posts, then kinda, sorta, kicking at each other. Zaffy is very good at being evil, I've been on enough evil teams with him to know how well he can fly under the radar. Therefore, he will earn my vote for day 1.

I vote to lynch the flea-bitten scum known as Zaffy.
But not his dog since his dog is cute.

Just to be clear. I'm good at being scum. But, I'm also mimicking a teammate on day 1. Cool, got it!

Interesting theories... I think Jm is acting suspicious. I am going to have limited posting, so for now, *I vote to lynch jm* (sorry, can't do bold from the iPod.)

i vote to lynch jm1212
Not sure what I think of the noob, just seeming to "follow". I do realize this is your first game (at least here)...so not putting to much into it now, just sayin it raises a bit of an alarm to me.

Zaffy and Pappy pull the same quote and both respond to it in a similar tone.

Okay, so they were on the thread at the same time and saw/responded to the same post. By itself, that isn't anything, I know.

Then here, Zaffy goes on to jump on Pappy in response to JB... but for what? Because Pappy agrees with what Zaffy's been saying too?

You know, guys. You're both sounding like dual cross-examiners here. Don't get me wrong, you're both making good points about different people that I agree we should examine. But the two of you sound almost interchangeable and this tag team thing with alternating posts directed at whoever posted last is making my head spin.

After that, this post was directed to Chill from Zaffy.

And that was followed by this post to Rocker from Pappy.

However...... at this same time, both of you totally overlooked a direct question I posted earlier to all the experienced players. I posted that because I really want to know what others think.... including you.

@Pappy - How many werewolves do you think we should estimate there are in this game?

@Zaffy - How many werewolves do you think we should estimate there are in this game?

And, again... I'm not directing that question only to Pappy and Zaffy. I'd also like some input about this from Chill, Dag, Lab Rat, Lady G, Rich, and Wizard. (And yes, I'll repeat that again to each of you, if you don't respond to this.)

I think in this game it's important for us to discuss numbers. We usually do that anyway very early in the game whenever it's a non-standard game format.

In this round we have 15 players. The town side has 3 non-communicating PRs and 3 townies who communicate but have no power. That's almost half the field. Then on the scum side, they get an opportunity to possibly turn people.

How does everyone figure we should factor that in to make a best guess at the number of werewolves we're dealing with?
I have to agree with you here Kash, they seem to be a little to nsync here (Pap and Zaff). Yes, their points are some which I thought myself but their posts, wording, feel of, just seem sooooo like one in the same.
As far as numbers go though, I am SO bad at that.

Kashta, I do agree with you, but why would one need to know how many werewolves there are? I'm not saying it's unimportant, I'm just not sure why you would need to know that.
Knowing the numbers is a big factor IMO....knowing how many you are up against is always good.

OK... so Pappy and Zaffy jumped on JM (righteously, IMO) for scummy behavior. I get that. But there's something that sticks out to me:
Here pappy says he's gone through a few games to check on day 1 voting.

Now here, Pappy states to Kash that he's not going back to check how many wolves were in the old game.

I don't get why you would go back and check on something to accuse JM, while at the same time not go back to check on something that could be good info for the town to have. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not faulting you for not checking the old game. Hell, I'm not going back to check either. What draws my attention is that you are okay with doing the work for the accusation, but not to gain information. That seems... unPappy-like to me.

As far as JM is concerned... I do see why everyone else is jumping. But I have to say for the record; I don't like the train. At all. My vote won't be going to JM tonight even if the only reason is to keep people looking for other suspects. I also agree with Labby's thougts. JM is rightfully under the microscope, but I want to see more before voting anyone.

I half figured someone would ask about that...

Looking through just Day one of all the threads is easy enough. Simply search for "mafia", click on the post count to see who played, and skim through the first couple pages looking for bold and discerning what the reason is...rather than try to find every nighttime post in the entire thread of the previous WW game to count up the number of wolves there were. Not to mention Jm is a relatively newer player so I only had to go back 10-15 games, instead of 60+.

I forgot about replying to Kashta's post about the numbers and by the time she brought it to my attention I was in the middle of getting ready to leave for the ball game (which was a blast so I also didn't have the time to wade through even more posts. I was actually going to explain myself more in #169 but I had to leave. Luckily Kash was able to get what I was saying.
