I'd shoot Ice, cause he's being too helpful and at the same time posting about who he would have chosen as slinger (aka, not wiz) so he can't be evil. Also, if he turns out to be innocent, i would die and a great player would become the slinger.

Sorry I've been away so long, Wiz... had to spend the morning splitting and stacking wood. Yep, I live in the sticks again. =) I skimmed to catch up. I'm going to answer your direct questions now, and come back after a loooooong shower to put up some other observations.
I also think that as the game progresses I can be more helpful to the town. I'm like you (I think) once more time has gone by, my analytical nature becomes more dangerous for the scum... just wish it had played out that way last time. Dang Labby anyway...

I can't make this decision for you, Wiz. All I can say is that if you shoot me, you'll simply be handing me the gun. Which IMO is a bad thing at this point, since I have yet to have a good read on anyone. Though, if you're gonna shoot me, I'd rather it be at the proverbial "high noon" than sundown... just seems more cinematic.

Ice, you know as well as I do that it isn't always what you say... it's what you "hint" at that often leads the town a "certain" way as opposed to another. That said, what you DID SAY in so many words doesn't match what you indicate your position really is. So why say it at all? ... unless you want to plant certain "seeds" of thought in other people's minds. Then be able to "deny" being the one who started something.
I've pointed out reasons why you are giving a scummy impression of yourself based on the posts you've made. Does that mean you ARE scum? Not necessarily... I'd rather not have to guess your role (yet) on that alone.
Frankly, your approach to the game this far makes you look sneaky and deceptive. If you believe that behavior is in the town's best interest, then so be it. Maybe you are scum, I don't know. Or maybe you think you are helping the town this way. Personally, I don't see it way (at the moment) because if you're not scummy, you're really not helping us reveal who the real scum are either by making yourself look suspicious in the process.
How should I know, Ice? Dag should post whatever content he feels is relevant... if he's got something to contribute. Same as the rest of us.
Maybe Dag had time to make two nothing posts and had to leave. Maybe he should have stuck around a little longer to find something usefull to say before he left. I don't actually believe the initial question was all that germaine, as it was a little premature. That's why I said as much in the post I made.
That's also WHY I pointed out at the time that we SHOULD NOT blow something like that out of proportion.
Alright, so the most recent question is if I were the slinger who would I shoot.
I'm not one that likes to jump on the bandwagon but my first instinct is Ice. I know he is being "helpful" but I almost feel that he started pushing his helpfulness a bit hard. As if he's trying to gain the trust of the slinger and the town. It's hard to say whether he is being sincere or trying to fool us.
He's pointed out a couple posts as possible distancing. One from me and one from Jpsigs. In Jpsigs' post he was referring to the mention of LG as classic distancing though from what I know, the middle person on that list is a good place to hide a teammate's name. Later Jpsigs goes on to mention that he would shoot Ice so take that as you will. Jpsigs has made me wonder a bit but first timers usually do.
Chill gives me an eerie feeling but hasn't done a whole lot to deserve a shot IMO. I thought he was a little quick to throw random names out there based on a past game. Yes, mine was one of them so I fully expect someone to point that out.

I am going to make another appeal to the newr players/low posters as well to start posting.
To the newer players, if it is a genuine attempt to help the town, there is no such thing as a bad post. Vets get biased in their thinking in these games. The tenancy is to go by how players have been in past games given certain roles. New players don't have these biases and may see something that experienced players have blinded themselves to due to their own bias.
To the low posters, we need all the help we can get. No you aren't voting to lynch someone, however, you need to kick bushes and grill each other because only one person is going to decide the target at nightfall. If I am stuck in my own thought processes without your input, I could make the wrong choice.
To Pir and Salt, if you are scum then by all means UD. That would be two scum down and if I choose correctly we could rid the town of three scum D1. That would be a great day in ACville.

I don't know yet, Wizard.. sorry. There's not enough for me to go on yet to declare anyone more suspicious over the others.
I will say that I'm concerned about Ice's manner of posting and his approach to the game. I'm just not willing YET to call him an actual suspect. I need to keep watching and see what else he does first before I decide which way to lean him. I also feel we should look at others who haven't been as vocal as Ice has been so far.
There are 2 main reasons why I'd rather reserve judgment about Ice this early...
1. Ice could be sincerely trying to approach this in a similar way as he did the last gunslinger game because that worked out well for him and the town in the end. In that case, Ice would be innocent. The problem with this explanation, though, is this is a different game. Ice is not the gunslinger now.... so he should not be the one calling the shots (so to speak) or trying to sucker people in.
2. Ice and I tend to go round and round like this, just about every game we're both in. I often misread his seeming "scummy" posts and conclude he must therefore be evil. Too often, I've been wrong before when I'm too quick to decide about him one way or another and that ended up hurting the town in past games (when it turned out we were both innocent). Since I already recognize this as a drawback, I make it a point to be (at least try to be) extra objective and less apt to make a snap judgment about Ice until there's more time to observe his game.
As for who else stands out as suspicious for whatever reason... I don't know yet.
If I had to shoot right now... good Lord. That's hard to say. It would amount to not much other than a guess.
I'm undecided about Ice so I'd be reluctant to shoot him yet.
Maybe someone like Pappy or JB or Rich or Chill or Lady G would make a better guess, but there's nothing in the thread I could point to that indicates scum for either of them. (And to be honest, I'd have to say I'm as good a target for you as either of them probably are.)
It's also a toss up for me still between noobs and low posters.... so my actual shot right this minute would be a coin toss between the vets I listed above... I'd just leave my name off, lmao. There'd be no reason for me to shoot myself...lol.
If it makes you feel any better, if I have something worth saying, I say it. I don't feel the need to post a bunch of "I agree" posts unless you'd prefer that I do. I'm more of a reader than anything and the only time I'm really worried about looking scummy is when I'm scum.

Well, i am trying to change my play style from "post allot, make stupid mistake, get killed off" to "post some, don't make stupid mistake, don't get killed off" as well as not wanting to look scummy when im not (which is what im best at). Also, last night i didn't go strait to bed, i read "Lord of Chaos" a book, and listened to some music beforehand and tried to digest when i'd read in the thread. After about half an hour of moderately deep thought, i came up with some people who would pick you: Kashta, it would get rid of the possibility of you reading her in real life, but that only works is Kashta's evil. Also a possability is Ice, because he's trying so hard to help you, it just gives me a bad feeling that he may be setting you up.
I am not sure what you are getting at here FF. This has been nagging at me since you posted it. What is there?

Okay, I just got home from golf
SO my thoughts on this game so far.
FF's first couple of posts did seem a little bit weird but this is my first game with him and I've heard many of times that he likes to 'play' around so ima just going to leave it at that for now and moniter him.
Ice, you also stand out to me as being so helpful and jumping on everyone. But that could just be you helping the town. It could be viewed as two ways...You taking the lead and helping heaps or you could be scum and be pretending to take the 'lead'.
But it is still first day so all of these assumptions are still just ideas and attemps to help the townWiz, I hope you make the right decision on who to shoot cause we need to get off to a good start.
In this format an "I agree" post can say a lot more than a post with original ideas.
