Mafia 78- The Gunslinger Returns...The Play

Hey folks... just woke up and it seems I have some stuff to respond to, but I'll go with Chill first.


After sleeping on it, Tay would be my next shot. Thinking about the patterns of her posting, she seems to have stayed out of most of the contend laiden stuff, but when it comes to casual banter, she's right there with the best of 'em... upping her post count. Then she's real quick to jump on low posters. I'm not comfortable with the attitude she's had the whole game, and I think she and her scummates have been having a good laugh in the scumden at the town's expense.

Whether she flips townie or scum, my next shot would be Rich, followed by Jspigs for reasons I've put out there many and many a time.

Pappy and Kash are still high on my "watch" list, but I wouldn't be ready to take either of those shots just yet.

I was going to let this go until tomorrow, but the more I thought about it the more it bothered me, so I have to put it out there or I won't be able to sleep.
The bolded part of this post, despite it's minute appearance bothers me. I mentioned before that Tay seemed to have a "giving the town the finger" attitude. I also keep thinking back to the WW game where she had me totally snowed. Tay is a very subtle player, so I think the subtleties are what we need to look at to analyze her role. This is pretty dang subtle, but it also has that attitude I referred to before. I can understand saying I've mentioned my reasons before... but why the raspberry, Tay?

Looks like I found the fifth member to round out my current top suspect list.

At that point last night(it's not after 1am here), I was exhausted(I'll explain in a sec) but still pushing myself to try. I was being too lazy to repost what I had said before. I've now had some sleep and been woken up. (Thanks dogs!) Came in to tell my husband that Starcraft2 will still be here in the morning and popped on to see what's new.

So anyways, about the exhaustion. I recently found out I'm pregnant :grinyes: so that's why my mind has been elsewhere this game. We had a long day of errands yesterday so I was beat. If anyone wants to think that I am lying about that then :nutkick: to you.

Maybe you should just start shooting from the lowest poster. We would probably lose as they can't all be mafia but if no one helps we are going to lose anyway.

Not really liking that thought Rich. Yes, they are a waste for the game and may be mafia..but just shooting because, not such a good idea.

I would shoot Kash due to her "mistake" naming you as scum. I do not have two other names yet (other than the if innocent and if guilty names). If Kash was innocent then I would shoot rich because he seems to be allover scummy and it seems other people feel the same way. If Kash was guilty ten I would still shoot rich for the same reasons.

You would shoot Kash, but you think Rich is ALL OVER scummy? Her mistake was pretty big (especially for Kash with her spreadsheets), but if you think someone is all over scummy...shouldn't you shoot them?
You also state, you do not have 2 other names, yet Rich is who you would shoot if she came up mafia or innocent...sounds like another name to me?

I will take a stab at this. If I were to shoot right now I would shoot, LG. She has not sat well with me and has not been as active as I expect her to be.

If she came up innocent I would probably shoot Kashta as she is playing sloppy and making mistakes in her facts which is not like her. I find that mafia tend t5o be sloppier than innocents as they are really trying to prove anything anyway.

If LG came up mafia I would probably shoot Tay though I would still consider Kashta as well. tay has not been giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling, no real anything to her posts.

After all that I would shoot Pigs or one of the non posters. Pigs sudden mind changes are either odd or he is just following along. Both not good signs to me.

I haven't been active? Well, I think I pretty much have been...with last night a exception I have pretty much been here the whole time.

Thats possibly the worst plan i've ever heard. Shoot the lowest poster and they will still never show up, if their innocent you now have an invalid as slinger, and basically give the mafia a chance to put the gun is anothers hands. Not smart.

I've been known to change my mind but right now sadly I need to earn my pay. I would like to see some more people respond in the meantime.

And if anyone thinks I'm joking about shooting a low poster for the **** of it they don't really know me very well.

Well, saturday my computer hog of a stepbrother hogged the comp all day, and sunday we went to the pool from around noon (we just finished lunch) till about 5 (we got back and had ribs!) and then my stepbrother beat me to the comp, so i had to wait till late in the day to get on (after 7). And thats why i wasn't on much.


As for who i would shoot next.. .any vet will do. Best case, i hit scum and they lose a great player. Worst case, i hit an innocent and we get a great gunslinger. Its almost win-win, cept i would die. More specifically, i would hit Pappy. If he turned evil, Kashta would go next. If he turned innocent, he would have the gun and i would reccomend shooting LG, for suspecting him by the way he posted. No matter what though, i would try and keep the gun in the hands of vets more then noobs.

Ok as for who I would shoot and why....

Rich, most likely would be my first choice at this point. His statements about me just do not seem right. If he came up mafia and I still had the gun I would most likely shoot JS, he can't seem to commit to anything he says. If Rich was innocent I would most likely want the new slinger to go for Kash..Her "mistake" was a pretty big one, especially considering the fact she is one that goes over everything with a fine tooth comb before she posts anything.

Sorry, Pappy-dew; I'm not buying it. I think it's pretty obvious as a possibility, but in no way is it obvious as a reality. For as straight forward and logical as you usually are it still strikes me as odd that you would leave the scenario off your list. Just doesn't seem very Pappy-esque.

I didn't pull the posts, but I think Haydn and LG both commented on my comment about Tay's smilie. The short answer is no... I don't think she's scummy based on that. That is just another piece of evidence (IMO) to show the attitude that has manifested in her posts this game. To me, she seems to show a mindset of someone who does not want the town to win. There's only one reason I can think of for that. I've mentioned Tay and her attitude several times now, as well as the fact that with how she snowed me (and not just me, but I think it safe to say the whole town) in the WW game; I'm not going to let little things slide with her this time around.

You're right, Tay. I have to apologize... I was wrong about you jumping on low posters. Your nuance to my accusation is duly noted... but I stand by the rest of my case.

So which is it? Am I reaching or am I scum? The flip side to you being an easy target for scum to frame because you play evil well, is that you play evil well. This makes a good shield to hide behind for actually being evil. While I do have to admit my mistake, my mind has not changed even a little.

The scenarios were presented in response to Tay saying she could not trust me. I said I understood but wanted to give why it wouldn't necessarily make sense for me, as mafia, to come out with Ice of all people as my "investigation" result. And I'm not saying it is obvious as reality but it why say I'm innocent when every person in the game plays as if they are innocent? That is the point, so why even mention it? Maybe I should have prefaced the scenarios better by adding "...if I am mafia." but really, would a "3) We are both innocent and I am telling the truth" done anything to convince anyone? No.

I don't care that you doubt me because either way it was going to happen but at the same time I don't see why people are not understanding where I'm coming from here...oh well...

As for who I would shoot next I'm torn between Kash and Rich. At this point I've suspected Rich longer so I would probably shoot him first. If I was correct I would then consider Kash, Js, and LG. If I was incorrect I would hope that the next slinger would still consider those people. I can't say for sure who I would shoot but if I had to choose on the spot I would say Rich then Kash or Js. Those are my three names I suppose.

That is a cop out. Answer the question as given.

As for all of you and the great evidence you found with my quote about shooting the low posters at the time we were talking about the lack of posting and it was a sarcastic statement about it.

Now I know someone will say I don't beleive that, or some other great conspiracy plan about the statement, please know this it is my last word on that matter. I will not respond to any questions about it. it was a sarcastic joke and cranky half idea.
