Mafia 79:Bio Badlands Game Thread.

Although I am not quite so sure that there is only one evil left...Dr Gene and one evil scientist seems too low to me. And Razz said that he thought there were just 2. Knowing FF I think there are 3...he always wants the games to be harder.

I should probably mention that I'm operating on the assumption that we started out with three evil players which would leave us currently with two.

Aaaaaaand once again I'm apparently late to the party.

So hostile.

Well, based on UN's rant (which you quoted a good portion of earlier) about JL sullying his hard-earned reputation, I would say yes, there is some distancing/dissociation going on there, whether intentional or unintentional.

I should probably mention that I'm operating on the assumption that we started out with three evil players which would leave us currently with two.

So you think that JL went after Razz right away yesterday, Razz turns and ties up the vote (so there is a 2/3 chance that one of them will go), gets lynched, and then JL and UN right away go after each other today? That basically guarantees that they are down to one team member by D3.

I find that to be a highly risky and borderline dumb strategy. Yes, they could be attempting to clear someone but at the risk of two players? I don't buy it. Not to mention the bio engineers can easily turn around and investigate who ever is left and finish the deal. Easy win for the town.

I'm starting to think the evils remaining are sitting back and watching us make fools of ourselves.

FF's list was out of order and didn't have post numbers or retractions...

Here is what voting looked like last night...

No one- Chill 60
Razz- JL 64, Jpap 107, LG 112
Sploke- 2H 74, LG 101
JL- UN 80 (96), Sploke 106, Razz 121
UN- Rich 108, Bally 113, Chill 126 (128?)

Actually, Razz tieing up the vote between himself and JL would have made it 100% that one would go at the time. The only reason it went to 2/3 was Chill's vote, but Razz couldn't assume he would vote there.

Ok looking at that again, and taking what you said under consideration, I'm leaning in another direction.

With three or even potentially two evils, (and I had mentioned this before) it would be a risky strategy to give someone up in hopes of clearing the remaining evils.

Based on that, I will assume JL voting for Raz leaves him as less evil that I have been thinking. UN voted for JL early on, shortly after JL voted for Raz. Raz also jumped on the JL train late in the game to tie up the voting between JL and Raz at 3 votes each...last ditch effort to save himself via random death. So I guess now I'm leaning to that saying the opposite of what I've been saying about JL. For now, I vote to test UN

Easy thing to say for someone suddenly in the spotlight ;)

yeah yeah yeah

I think it is a forgone conclusion that LG should reveal the investigations they have received, which when she comes back should be a total of 2 players. I'm hoping (and assuming) they didn't investigate Razz N1 so that would be 3 of 9 players left, including LG herself, that we can either clear or go after depending on the results.

I was wondering if it would be wise for her to take that a step further and reveal her teammate. That would be 4/9 PLUS it would take two nights for the evils to hit them both and since one would still be alive after the first night that would be another investigation. Likely 5/8 of the players known (8 because of hit but not lynch since thats up in the air). At that point we might not even need to get to that point.

Of course, the vials come into the picture as does Dr. Genes serum which is completely unknown. I remember being a BE and getting turned by the serum and winning it for the evils. We can only hope that players who are known do not get turned (or any other innocents for that matter) and that the serum does something else. The same can be said for the dreaded blue mist.

Thoughts? I'm not completely sold on the second part (revealing the other BE) because it always hurts to have targets on players backs. It's sort of a short term gain knowing a bunch of people's roles early before they have a chance to become turned, hoping that we can cross people off lists and finish off the scum before they can turn it around on us. I'm trying to weight the potential outcomes with the potential consequences.

Just an FYI, I'm bringing this up now so it can be discussed BEFORE LG comes back. That gives us more time to soak in what she ultimately decides to do and it doesn't serve to confuse her right away. Don't want to get G flustered :p:
