Mafia 81: The Bloody Coup

This is true, but I know when I was in lower grades we still learned about him, we colored pictures, sang songs and talked about him at least. He also set out to prove the world wasn't flat, if he has a holiday and some schools are out on that day I think they could at least discuss him.

while i was reading this, i was thinking: What does this have to do with mafia?

So, when you get back, what does it have to do with mafia? Seems to be a wast of time to me.

GTG, BBL

I was just laughing at the phrasing - partially lynched is quite diffrent then lynched partially because

English isn't my strong suit...one reason I'm not at a Lib Arts college.

I'll agree that initially you weren't going to play, but it was three, or four days ago that you decided. That's plenty of time to remember that the last time the teams were evenly split, not to mention that (as I recall) you were the last scum standing.
Yet you claim that you don't remember your team starting out with four players.
Then you say that you didn't look at the sign up rules, but you think Ice changed them.

Not buying it Pap !

Three-four days of things other than AC and mafia for the most part ;)

I plan on the rules that are posted in the GAME THREAD being final unless the mod changes them within the GAME THREAD. Ice hasn't clarified what the split actually is...so at this point it is all speculation. Ice certainly changed what he posted then compared to what is posted here. I never said that I checked it before the game started. I read the rules as posted. Once this topic came up I double checked as people said he wrote that it would be 50/50 rebels and innocent in the sign up. That is different than what is in the rules here, hence he changed them. My point is that he may very well have dropped that stipulation from the list because of the odd number of players and didn't want to spell out the split or for some other unknown reason. I do think he would have mentioned something but no one even asked Ice to clarify (unless I missed it) before throwing out names of people who didn't see the split in the sign up.

Again, I do not remember last game being an even split per se only that there were at least three of us. Two on a team isn't very common unless it is D1 of a team building game. Mods tend to follow that pretty evenly over the course of the games. Never once did I explicitly state that there were not four of us. You're putting words into my mouth.

And that was how many games ago? I cannot keep track of every game and how many evils there were. Not exactly something that sticks out in my mind anyways compared to being evil and dieing last. I did not check #9 and I even said that. I do not exactly have time every game to drudge up old formats. I answered the question best I could remember at the time.

This I agree with. Why mention that but then make the bulk of your post essentially an OMGUS? Nothing you've said about noods has any bearing on this game. Why mention something that does, but then go a totally different direction? Lab_rat or UN were the first to talk about having uneven teams, what do you think of that?

"This I agree with. Why mention that but then make the bulk of your post essentially an OMGUS?"

Sorry, Zaff. I don't see the OMGUS part. Noods didn't vote me, neither did she suggest I was suspicious at all. For that matter, I'm not voting her either and it's much too early to even lean her as scummy, particularly over something like that.

My post was to throw out my thoughts after reading from where I posted last. The main point being there's nothing to go on yet. We're just getting started. Now, if I were to make something of anything I've read so far, the only thing that may be worth noting is who low-balled the rebel numbers. That's a real sketchy one though as it may have been deliberate or it may also be nothing... so let's not get too carried away over little stuff. The actual scum players may still be doing nothing scummy at all and we're more likely to chase down fellow innocents by overreacting.

"Nothing you've said about noods has any bearing on this game. Why mention something that does, but then go a totally different direction?"

Look back at my post again, Zaffy. You're giving more weight to what you saw as the "bulk" of my post but that wasn't how I "weight" what I wrote. Actually, that was making points in descending order of importance. 1st (most important) - nothing to go on. 2nd (may be important) - a few people low-balled the evil teams. Then 3rd (Noods cutsey remark) - that was added while I typed as more of an afterthought. It just took up more room to pull the quote and explain what I meant so you all would know what I was talking about, which I guess made that part "bulkier."

Now, I can see how anyone else would think Nood's little dig has no bearing on this game. For me, it does so I mentioned it. And my reason for that was already stated in the post I made.

"Lab_rat or UN were the first to talk about having uneven teams, what do you think of that?"

Precisely what I already said I think of that. It may be something; it may be nothing. That really isn't something to take into consideration all by itself. It may, however, prove worthwhile later on in combination with other things they say or do as the game continues.

I agree LR, UN, and Pap low balling the scum team size does give me concern.

So far, it's the only thing I've seen that could be interpreted as important. The danger in that though is if either of them are innocent, that's going to help the evils stay out of view.

Kash, you seem pretty quick to jump on Noods about her "silly" comment....IME she usually does stuff like that, so I was just wondering why that comment stood out so much to you?

It stood out to me because she directed the comment to me. I would obviously notice it more than someone else reading the same post since my name was mentioned when others weren't.

I understood why Noods repeated that as a quip last game after I backed off from voting her. She was evil at the time... just pretending to be innocent... and it was an effective way to "laugh off" any lingering suspicion about her I may have stirred up in the minds of other players.

For Noods to now carry this over again to another game made me think she'd do something just like that if she's evil. But she probably wouldn't have even thought of it if she's innocent. If anything, it's an indication of her mindset when evil vs. innocent. And Nood's game does change slightly based on what role she has.

NVM, i see it. You understand that was sarcasm right?
I didn't see it as sarcasm at all...I saw it as a hypothetical conversation between you and a scum teammate.

I have to say this vote stands out the most to me at this point. Yes, I realize FF has "mentioned" a power role. Is it really vote worthy at this point though, or is this an attempt to get FF going all ranty and crazy?
It was the only thing I saw at the time I voted that even remotely made sense for a vote. With that said FF doesn't need any help "going all ranty and crazy." He's pretty good at it all on his own. It was an attempt to get this game moving to actual game play rather than pizza topping discussions. So I threw a vote out to get people talking about it. We do have to lynch someone tomorrow so we need to get some more substance. Not to mention FF still needs to be reminded when he screws up. He still quite often forgets to think before he types. If he is an innocent typing without thinking doesn't help the Town. If he is scum he should continue to type without thinking.

I do agree with Kash's comments about a scum possibly missing on the numbers of scum in the game to try and throw people off their trail. It is a good observation IMO.

Or they could tell the truth and not get scrutinized at all...either way it's a WIFOM scenario.

:hi: Trying to get caught up really quick...

Kashta, I made that remark as I was biting my tongue on posting RL details into the game. Apparently it is an annoying habit that I have so I am trying very hard to keep my RL details out of the game; not really seeing how it indicates my role in this game, especially since I have less then a handful of posts thus far.

FF, you posting a phony convo naming PR's is unbelievable, even for you! :nono: But I will do my best to resist the ever present temptation to vote you on day one.....must. resist. :wall:

I would like to protect what little pride i have.
It does take some outside interference to get me "ranty and crazy". I do not just get "ranty and crazy" for no reason.

So, basically, your vote was for the sole purpose of getting people talking? I can understand that, but if so, why me? Any OTHER reasons besides my screwup?

I do to think, when my meds kick in. I posted before my meds start working, which is around 8-8:30 am. Yes, sometimes i need to be reminded, but (IMO) most of the time, i can catch it myself, or don't screw up in the first place. And if you really think im scum, vote me.

It was a sarcastic and joke worthy hypothetical conversation with a teammate. The "i think ----(X's look wrong XD) is the president" was what most people would call a "screw up". Got it? I hope so.

Here we go again, is FF scum or his he doing a patented FF?

Does the speculating on numbers prove anything? It is a usual day one topic?

With Ice as mod I am surprised at the modest amount of posting about Ice having fun assigning roles. He could make some interesting teams with this crowd.

I agree with the bolded part above. He could have a lot of fun hand picking and then sitting back to watch!
